We knew that the town was charming.....old colonial nostalgia was evident in those coffee table books with the pictures of the carefully maintained buildings at the Merchant square and the William & Mary college....but, what surprised us was the pleasant and restful stay we had for two nights at the Colonial Capital B&B....relaxing and reading by the fireplace in the...

We were in Williamsburg in October, our first visit. The owners are not the same for most of the reviews even though the new owners have been there for 2 years. The new owners are not on site but available by phone or text. There is something about having on site owners that adds to the warmth of the experience....

Our room the St James was appointed beautifully, the location good close to the colonial city and William and Mary. The bed was excellent. However, we never saw a host or hostess so we never got to know the layout. We wish we had know there was a serve yourself coffee and there is no breakfast on the premises. The...

My daughter found Colonial Capital online when searching for places to stay near Colonial Williamsburg. It is a few blocks away, and the walk back and forth is pleasant. In fact, walking around the neighborhood to look at houses was how we spent one evening. Colonial Capital is across the street from William and Mary College. We stayed five nights...

We stayed 3 nights at this B&B. First, the positives - the breakfast here is the best and largest we have ever had and the location is great. David is an amazing chef and served an incredible breakfast. Now the not so positive. Before arriving we got a call to see when we would be checking in. When we told...

Location is perfect for a visit to College of William & Mary and/or Colonial Williamsburg. Kathryn and David are lovely hosts. Breakfast is overwhelming and accompanied by Illy coffee. Comfortable and friendly.

We loved everything about this place! It is located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants of Williamsburg as well as the colonial city. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, making sure our every need was met. One of the owners, David, is a chef and owns three...

Wow, the breakfast is UNREAL! Chef David Everett presents a stunning breakfast each morning that I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed all day. I believe the owners have plans to spruce up the interior, and once they do it will be world class around.

We had a wonderful time at Colonial Capital. Kathryn was an amazing hostess, and our room was comfortable and clean. The best part about was the gourmet breakfast, prepared by Chef David Everett. It was just fantastic. We did not expect a world-class chef to be making our breakfast! We had fresh baked croissants, a fresh omelet, Spanish chorizo stew,...

We are locals and were just looking for a fun weekend away from home. My husband selected this B&B randomly because it was near Colonial Williamsburg and not far from one of our favorite Williamsburg restaurants Peter Chang's. When we got there and the owner mentioned that she also owns three restaurants (which are also some of our favorites) and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We welcome you as our guests at Colonial Capital Bed & Breakfast, a prominent Colonial Revival Inn (c. 1926) In the heart of the Architectural Preservation District. We'll be your home in Williamsburg while you fill your days experiencing our three outdoor living museums: Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown and while enjoying the thrills and spills found at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. All are just minutes from your Williamsburg accommodations. Antique furnishings and oriental rugs throughout the house create a rich blend of warmth, style and comfort. Our classic plantation parlor offers a perfect setting for relaxing conversation with friends, new and old. On cold winter evenings the parlor's wood burning fireplace blazes, while in the heat of summer our Inn is air conditioned for your comfort. The screened side porch, patio and deck provide out-of-doors pleasures. Each day tea and wine are offered as a welcome afternoon or evening refreshment. Also we recommend you visiting inkeeper, David Everett's DoG Street Pub, Blue Talon Bistro, The Trellis Restaurant and BlackBird Bakery. ... more   less
