Sue & Dick are wonderful hosts. Great location with easy access to Colonial Williamsburg. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts each morning are simply delicious. Sue & Dick offer great recommendations on places to eat and sights to see in the area. Governor's Trace has become our "go-to destination" whenever we visit Williamsburg. We plan to return next Spring...

Governor's Trace B&B is a wonderful retreat located within walking distance of the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg. It's very quiet with beautifully decorated rooms and delicious candlelight breakfasts served in your own private screened-in porch. Dick and Sue are lovely people and always helpful with suggestions to local attractions or restaurants. Dick even came up with some discount cards...

Location was excellent. Good tips from host on local sites. Breakfast served in room promptly. It was always hot and tasty. Welcomed us back at the end of each day to chat about what we saw and answer any questions. Shared some stories with us as if we were long time friends, which is what we felt like. Room was...

We visited Williamsburg in mid-September for a couple days and chose this inn mainly because of it's location which is probably not more than 100 yards from the old village. Once we parked the car, we never had to move it again. Our hosts were not the owners, but their son and very nice, helpful gal as the owners were...

Some personal comments from the host caused us to leave directly after arrival. We didn't even unpack even giving up the room charge. We would not recommend this bed and breakfast and there is no way we would ever try it again.

My wife booked at Governor's Trace for our 4th of July getaway and it far exceeded my expectations. Dick and Sue are very warm, friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the Baron de Botetourt room, a very accommodating and spacious room. Breakfast was beyond compare, and the presentation was spectacular. Dick was extremely helpful with tips for visiting Colonial Williamsburg...

Since we have spent other visits there we were please to see nothing has changed. Our hosts were as gracious as ever. Breakfast as always was freshly prepared with fruit and a...

My Husband and I booked a 2-night stay at this B&B for Valentine's Day and we were so pleased we went with Governor's Trace! Dick & Sue, the Innkeepers, were hospitable, helpful, and just super nice! Once we arrived, Dick made us feel quite welcome and immediately recommended places to eat for dinner that night. We stayed in the Alexander...

The Governors Trace was amazing experience, breakfast in the morning was delicious, quick walk to Colonial Williamsberg and so close to great food. Dick and Sue were very helpful and informative. The weekend was amazing and the ambiance was very patriotic. We will definitely visit and keep in contact with Dick and Sue.

This Bed and Breakfast run by Dick and Sue is very nice. You CANNOT beat the location as it just steps away from Colonial Williamsburg and all that it has to offer. Breakfast is delicious and served in your room, a nice change from some large communal breakfasts we've had over the years. We chatted with Dick and Sue a...
