No frills hotel with all the basics you need - and who really needs a crazy hotel when you are there to explore? The fridge in the room is an awesome perk. The hotel is perfectly walkable to the colonial area and all the attractions. The staff were fabulous and were super nice and helped us with all of our...

Had a two night stay and found the hotel to be very clean. The location was great to get in the center of town. The staff was very helpful , had a very nice breakfast in the mornings in the main building.

Ok, if you want a place with "high end" features this isn't the place for you. If you want a place that is simple, EXTREMELY clean, walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg, bus service and other exciting things, this is the place. We walked back and forth from Market Square, Colonial Williamsburg and then dinner. The staff were very pleasant and...

Traditional motel with outside entrances close to the historic area. The rooms were well-kept and clean, the beds were comfortable and WiFi worked well.Breakfast was basic- toast, waffles, cereal- coffee was good. Prices were good and staff was very helpful.

The first two times we visited Williamsburg we stayed in a Colonial House - they are the best choice (if you can afford them). This time we chose the Governor's Inn based on price (no grandparents paying), pool and location within the "Official" Williamsburg lodging. The breakfast was basic but it did have variety and included fruit. The room could...

Not fancy but it has everything you need. Pool is big, kids loved it. Breakfast was fine, and the rooms were okay too. No complaints. The best thing about it, reasonable rate in a great location. You could walk to the park or the college center if you wanted to, but we always drove. Would stay here again.

Considering the reasonable rate and the 10 minute (max) walking distance from Colonial Williamsburg, this hotel is hard to beat. The building itself is older and is definitely a budget hotel, but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast, albeit small, was a great perk. I would not stay here...

Renovated motel with outside entrances. Rooms were clean. Beds were new and very firm, uncomfortably so to some. The bathroom was small but nice to have the sink, vanity separate from the tub & toilet. Small refrigerator, coffee pot and iron fill out this area. At this price, we were able to get two adjoining rooms. Breakfast was the typical...

This was our first visit to the Governor's Inn and it won't be our last. The value is outstanding. The breakfast was adequate, not like you would get at the Woodland's, but the price was less than half of what the Woodland's is. The walk to the Revolutionary city was under 10 minutes (again better than the Woodland's). The room...
