New owners put new life into the wonderful oasis of charm in the foothills of Rappahannock County. Especially noteworthy is their restaurant's quality because they have considerable competition in the more famous Inn of Little Washington (no slacker when it comes to quality and charm). I would return anytime my travel plans bring me to Northwestern Virginia.

We had the most amazing weekend. From the amazingly comfortable bed that was impossible to get out of, to the delicious food (thanks Devin and Margaret) to the wonderfully attentive staff (huge thanks to Mati and Rosalie). We could not have asked for more. From start to finish...it was PERFECT! We are city people that love traffic and noise...but we...

My husband and I have stayed at a few inns and b&b's in the Shenandoah area over the last few years, and now we can add Blue Rock Inn to the list of places to which we'd like to return. We stayed there last weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The property is in a rural and pretty setting just off...

My husband and I were returning after 23 years to the area for dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. Due to the high prices we were looking for alternate lodgings and hit a homerun with the Blue Rock Inn. The Inn was extremely charming and the staff was outstanding. We arrived after the "big snow storm" and the Blue...

Each bedroom is beautifully appointed, comfortable and spotless. The upstairs bedrooms open through floor to ceiling windowed doors onto a wrap-around deck. The to corner private...

We just took our first trip to Washington, VA and decided to stay at the Blue Rock Inn. Not one complaint. The room was elegantly decorated (no gaudy wallpaper or frilly bedding). The food was amazing in taste, quality, presentation, and price. Breath taking views and friendly, warm staff. This will be our new favorite getaway! Not too far of...

Last month I returned to the Blue Rock Inn with my husband. My parents and I enjoyed it so much last year, I was looking forward to sharing this wonderful place with him. It was no surprise to me that he loved it as much as we did. We slept great in the comfy beds, ate wonderful food and enjoyed...

We arrived this evening in Washington Virginia for a special evening tomorrow at the Inn at Little Washington.I had made a reservation tonight at the Blue Rock Inn... However I was nervous in light of the TA reviews. Our experience tonight was lovely. It was a beautiful night so we chose to eat on the porch overlooking the pond. It...

We love this B&B!!! Excellent service, beautiful rooms and a pub and restaurant with excellent food.......what else can you ask for? Oh wait, the grounds and view are delightful! We spent an evening at the pub, then chatting with a glass of wine by the pond. The next morning the breakfest was fantastic. You can't go wrong with this place....
