My wife and I stayed for four nights. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and we stayed in the St Mary's cabin. Contrary to a previous traveler's post, the cabin was not about to slide off of a cliff. In fact, it was a lovely cabin and the view was spectacular. The cabin itself was immaculate and the bed was...

My wife and I like to travel and roadtrips are one way we like to see the country. We wanted to go some place unique and do some outdoorsy adventures as well as stay at a place to get away from the ordinary. We found Sugar Tree Inn online and booked by phone call as soon as we got the...

What is it that keeps us going back to Sugar Tree Inn? Here are 5 reasons we've visited 5 times for 12 nights total... 1. Tranquility: I can rest at Sugar Tree like no place else on earth. 2. Hospitality: Inkeepers care for guests like they are family. 3. Luxury: Rustic perfection with logs, quilts, and stunning decor. 4. Cleanliness:...

It was a great experience being at Sugar Tree Inn. It has one of the best locations. Sun set across the mountains is just so beautiful. Rooms are clean and well kept. Breakfast was also very good. I can't wait to come back here.

I was riding my bicycle up the Blue Ridge Parkway and needed a place to stay. I wouldn't normally choose a B & B, but this place was where I needed to spend the night. I'm pretty sure that a cyclist is hardly the typical guest. The owners, Jeff & Becky, went out of their way to meet my needs,...

Where do I begin!? From the beautiful views to Becky's Baked Oatmeal, my time at Sugar Tree Inn was unparalleled. I live in Washington, DC and was in need of a quick weekend getaway. Sugar Tree offered a tranquil environment with hospitable innkeepers who provided helpful suggestions and good food my whole stay. Whether it's just for a weekend or...

Arrived after sunset during a raging thunder storm. The drive up to the Sugar Tree was unnerving to say the least. It was a very narrow, dark, steep, winding and heavily wooded ride with no way to turn around or even move to one side of the road if another vehicle approached. The only thing at the end of this...

It's hard to know where to start my response to this guest's comments but I'll begin with the fact that none of our buildings (only one of which, by the way, is a “one room cabin”) are even remotely anywhere near a cliff and that, needless to say, none of them have slid “off the side of the mountain into...

As a teenager I spent my summers growing up in Waynesboro VA, about 30 minutes from Sugar Tree and I know the area very well as my friends and I would hike all over the area. Typically when I return to the area for a mountain getaway I stay with friends but this trip they were unavailable and thankfully they...

Stayed here for three nights over the past Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. Becky and Jeff are great at what they do. The breakfasts and dinners were phenomenal. We stayed in the Sugar Tree room, king sized with an in room whirlpool tub that we loved. Oddly there was a bit of dirt in the tub when...
