If you're into antiques, this is a 5 star location - every room is filled with them. If you are into amenities like vending machines, ice machines, elevators, microwaves, fridges - not so much. This is very much a turn of the century (1900 not 2000) atmosphere. Rooms do have TV (not flat screen).

Have stayed here 2 times. People are friendly, rooms are unique. Tap room downstairs is comfortable and convenient. You can walk to center of the main street. Many small shops to visit within walking distance.

Our room had a hole in the wall, paint peeling and chipped all around the door, bedspread was falling apart and the carpet was worn out. Don't think this hotel has had any improvements in 30 years. We went down to the pub for drinks before dinner. I ordered a glass of wine that tasted terrible. It had been opened...

Dear Customer, Throughout my worldwide travel experience I came across quaint and unique outfits like this one especially in England and Germany. Once I reported the discomfort or dissatisfaction I was surprised withe the outcome. This historic building house 21 unique rooms and always undergoing updates. I wish you had communicated your dissatisfaction to the front desk for it would...

Great price. Very large room but it was musty and dingy. The two staffers who we dealt with the most were quite unfriendly, never smiling or asking to help us. Two other staffers were wonderful. I don't think a class in hospitality can fix this.

Sam S, Front Office Manager at Hotel Strasburg, responded to this review

Dear Customer, I apologize for such experience, please visit us again and you will not be disappointed. Kindly mention your previous experience to the front desk.

Supposedly haunted, but not during our lunch. However, the beef bite appetizer and salad with champagne vinaigrette will haunt ME. For a long time. Both just gourmet offerings! We ate in the pub, but scoped out the dining room also - this place is really cool, redone beautifully - it's a must do if you are in the area. Take...

We liked the Hotel Strasburg a lot. It is a Victorian inn, done up with period antiques. We found it to be quaint and charming, and the bed was very comfortable. There is both a pub and a restaurant. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was very good, and the service was great. In the morning you can...

Dear customer, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. One note about the coffee machines in rooms. Please note that in order to avoid spillage in the rooms, coffee is offered complementary and encouraged in lobby 24hours a day. We look forward in seeing you in the future. Kindly let the front desk know that you are...

I find myself coming back to this Hotel when ever I travel up North to Luray, Shanandoah or Winchester. I Love the fact that you can wander and look at the rooms when they are not occupied. I have had had a good room comfy bed and a dark dreary room with a Very uncomfortable bed that kept me up...

This hotel was very disappointing for us. We felt we were getting a quaint little bed and breakfast for the night when we booked this on line. A couple came in after us with reservations but after looking at their room, demanded their money back and left. We should have too. The rooms had been decorated in period style furniture...

Spent one night here, very nice hotel but it does need some tending to. The rooms could use some upgrades, our bathroom did have some mold in and around the shower area. The carpets are very worn out and needed a good cleaning. The hotel Wifi does not work very well
