Stayed her with my boyfriend for a getaway weekend. As almost everyone has mentioned, the Inn is fantastic. From the location, the tasteful decor of the old, restored house, the delicious breakfast, and unassuming hospitality, the Inn makes for a special escape.Deb is full of suggestions for things to do in the area; Lilian is lovely and a wonderful cook. Spent three nights at peak foliage season. Wanted a place nearby Old Rag Mountain and the Park. Spent some time here as a kid eons ago and wanted to show my girlfriend the area. Could not have picked a better place to stay. Tastefully appointed farm house on nearly 1,000 acres of farm and Shenandoah foothills that has been owned... More

My wife and I spent two nights over Columbus weekend at Mt. Vernon Farm Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home in this lovely Virginia manor house perched above 900 acres in the foothills facing the Blue Ridge mountains, with Old Rag in the distance. We emigrated from England way back in the late... More

We just returned from an unforgettable stay at the Inn at Mount Vernon, a small paradise in Sperryville, Va., about 75 miles from Washington, DC. We drove from Florida with our mother, who lived at Mount Vernon from the 1930s-40s, when her father managed the farm. My sister and I grew up in this area. From its hilltop location, the... More

Like many of the reviewers, we have stayed at plenty of B&B's across the country. This was one of the finest B&B experience we've had. I say that because the mansion & room were beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, and the owners and staff were terrific. I came there with my wife the day after our wedding, and the plan... More

The Inn is beautiful and complements the majestic surroundings. The cabin offers charm and privacy and the breakfasts by Lillian are worth the stay. The location is convenient to the Copper Fox Distillery, the Pen Druid Brewery and the charming town of Washington, VA. We'll be back!

Our second stay here in the Music Room and we will continue to return. The Inn is lovingly restored by its owner, Cliff, and the property has been in the family for many generations. The location is magical, peaceful and beyond relaxing. Even better is Miss Lillian and her homemade biscuits, jams, lamb hash, roasted nuts and more. The Innkeeper,... More

The Inn at Mt. Vernon Farm in Sperrysville is the only place to stay! It is quiet and the views from the porches are amazing. Be sure to arrive in time to sit on one of the porches with a glass of wine and watch the sun set. Then have morning coffee on the porch before your scrumptious breakfast. The... More

I have stayed at the Inn at Mt. Vernon Farm twice in the past few months. It is the perfect combination of a beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, modern amenities, and charm. The house dates back to the 1800s, but the rooms have modern, beautiful baths and luxury beds/sheets. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, as is everyone who works... More

My husband and I made plans to visit SNP and stay inside the park all 3 nights. However, a few days out from the trip, I read the best hike in the area was Old Rag Mountain - which isn't accessible from inside the park. So 2 days before checking in, we switched the first night to The Inn at... More
