The accommodation is situated in a beautiful subtropical oasis with all cottages being surrounded by an abundance of plants to enhance privacy. SUGGEST you bring a TORCH, as there are no external night lights... Access to the sculpture garden is free to guests & is highly recommended. The attached restaurant serves excellent food of an evening & means there is...

Perfect accommodation for the type of holiday we wanted. Private cottage with a deck looking straight out into the beautiful peaceful garden. Friendly hosts who looked after us very well with recommendations of what to see and do in the area. Attention to what we needed each day was much appreciated. There were no sounds other than bird song. We...

Awesome stay in a private Cottage. Peaceful and quiet. Clean, everything you could want for a holiday. The restaurant close by was a magical walk through the garden. Food absolute tops and service excellent. Although we didn't have time to see the artworks and to do the garden walks we would certainly return to see these. I would definitely recommend...

This is our second return stay and simply love it here. Tania has a wealth of knowledge about the Northland and is most accommodating. The private cottages are beautifully arranged in tropical garden settings which are cleverly pitched to give the feeling that you are staying in the tropics. The restaurant has amazing food to suit all tastes- even vegetarians...

On our trip round NZ, this was probably our best Motel. We spent 3 really enjoyable nights in cottage 3. The gardens gave you a sense of space and tranquility with a fair amount of privacy from your neighbors. The service we received was second to none, with the hosts going out of their way to make you welcome. The...

Staying in one of the cottages is like being in a botanic garden; ideal for anyone with horticultural interests. There is even a list of all the named species present, in each comfortable cottage. How on earth one man produced such a paradise is difficult to imagine. There were many rare species all of which made it such a fascinating...

Stayed 1 night. This is not your average motel, the name sums it up quite well! If you like nature, want a sense of space a privacy and don't mind walking then it's great. Don't stay here if you want hotel foyers or to park outside your unit. Having said that, the walk to the units is lovely - even...

I spent three nights in cottage 4 and loved it. I visited Paihia and Russell and was very glad I'd based myself in Kerikeri. Wonderful place with many places to visit nearby. The sunlit deck was fantastic and the gardens (including the herbs) were a bonus. The hosts were very helpful and obliging. I'll be back!

A very comfortable cottage nestled in spectacular gardens. Each cottage is separated by the forest giving you a sense of complete isolation and privacy. The host could not be more helpful giving advise on the area and what to do. Within walking distance to the Stone House and tracks along the river gives a number of options for taking walks....

Couldn't recommend this place more. Lovely owners, lush spot in the forest but so close to everything and a gourmet cafe right on the grounds. We sat in bed with the each slider open and the birds get popped on the deck and wandered around. Stunning
