We had a couple of nights at Chateau Yering at the end of a busy trip. It has a country feel about the place, a change from large chains. It is however, in need of a little updating to really live up to the five star tourist rating. the room we had was very spacious, Internet fast in the room....

We went to Elenores for Mother's Day lunch. The dining room was gorgeous and intimate. This is why we went here I am sick of noisy modern spaces. The service was outstanding and the food was lovely. They even gave my little girl the same menu as ours but smaller which she loved. My only complaint was that the main...

We scored a lastminute.com.au special for 2 nights leading into Easter and were glad we chose Château Yering. We were upgraded to a Mountain View Suite (the Pethard Suite) which had an extensive balcony with views up the valley upward the mountains. I've divided this review into sections, with a summary at the end - I hope that helps. Room:...

You really need to ask specifically for a room with a view if you want a view of the hills/mountains and preferably confirm this in writing as many of the rooms look straight out onto the rooms in the other wing with a view of the hills only if you peer over the balcony. I imagine these rooms would also...

Stayed at Chateau Yering for a Saturday night and truely loved the experience... Our room was large, with period decorations and a modern bathroom. Saturday night accommodation includes 3 course dinner for two at Eleonor's, their sensational 2 hat restaurant, as well as breakfast the next morning.

My husband and I spent a Saturday night at Chateau Yering as we attended a birthday party in one of the function rooms. The hotel is rather tired, but look past that and enjoy going back in time, with large comfortable furniture in the reception rooms, and a large comfortable bed in our suite. The bathrooms have been modernised, although...

My husband and I enjoyed the dinner and bed and breakfast package for our wedding anniversary. Very sizeable suites with an outdoor sitting area to enjoy the trees and the birds. We loved the addition of hand-made chocolates and biscotti in the room, as well as a coffee plunger and decent coffee. The wine tasting included the opportunity to taste...

Spent my husbands birthday at Chateau Yering. It was a sheer delight. The setting is superb, you could not ask for more helpful service and the food was most memorable. Our suite overlooked the Yarra Valley, with distant hills and vineyards. Traditionally decorated but with all mod-cons and some lovely chocolates to greet us. Dinner of Morton bay bugs then...

Chateau Yering is a gorgeous old hotel. The bar and lounge areas take you back to a different era. The rooms themselves are large and luxurious. The shower was amazing and the bed was very plush and comfortable. Sound travels very easily down the corridors, but that's to be expected for such an old building. Highly recommended.
