We stayed here for one night with a toddler in the wilderness suite, which was very roomy if a bit faded. The setting is lovely but it is a good 30min+ drive to Cradle Mountain and a good 10 min drive just to the road, so if we were here for more than one day, it would have been pretty...

Spent 2 nights here ... its prefect if you want a get away from EVERYTHING. After hiking Cradle Mountain this was perfect. Quiet, peaceful and if your up for it a bit more of a walk, there are few hikes varying in distance from the location. The restaurant has a small menu, but everything we had was fantastic. Breakfast was...

We toured Tassie for 10 days and we stayed at the Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat for our final night and found it the best experience for accommodation and meals of our whole trip. We checked into our Luxury Spa Suite and were pleasantly surprised by its generous size and the high quality of the decor. It had a great private view...

After a tough climb to the Cradle Mountain summit, Lemonthyme is the perfect wilderness retreat to escape to. Set 8kms in from the main road and in very peaceful surroundings, just listening to the birds and the general quiet of being in the middle of the forest is a great antidote to city living. The cabins are cosy, comfortable and...

Found this place while searching for accomodation near cradle mountain. Lemonthyme was one of the few remaining places available and after staying there I am so glad that I did! It does take some time to get to the collection of wooden cottages so if you plan on staying there for an extended period of time perhaps plan to bring...

Second visit after 5 years. Our first visit was most enjoyable. Must say having travelled 350 Klms from Hobart how very disappointed we were this visit with the lack of change to the decor in our Superior Luxury Spa cabin that is looking very tired and dated. Curtains, couches and paintwork, in fact the whole establishment, in need of a...

This was our fourth or fifth visit and for the first time we left feeling a little disappointed. The service by the staff was as always excellent but we felt that the lack of choice on the menu for lunch and dinner was very limited. We will be back but hope things improve.

First time I've stayed in a wilderness retreat. I surprised myself and coped with not having a TV in the room, I'm not exactly sure why there are no TVs, perhaps it's part of the wilderness experience. The room was excellent, it was built on the side of the mountain on tall timber legs, which to me made it feel...

Very good experience - nice staff - a very remote wilderness lodge and a real one (no one of those which said "wilderness" when they are located at 2 kms of a main road). Nice wooden chalets in the rainforest - confortable but not luxery and i will certainly come back. Good wifi at reception but not in the room...

A beautiful 8km drive down a windy dirt road brought us to the beautiful wooden lodge, where we were greeted by pleasant staff and swiftly directed to our cabin. Our cabin was clean and cosy, and being elevated provided a serine feeling of being amongst the treetops. Being in the "wilderness" you will depend on the restaurant for meals, fortunately...
