We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the Mayhurst Inn. It is a beautiful place and very historic . The inkeepers are helpful and pleasant in all respects. And great food! We have stayed at a lot of B&Bs and this is one of the best. Can't get any better than this.

Sited in a magical location yet unexpectedly close to a major highway, nothing of the modern world is visible once one drives up the long gravel drive to a beautifully landscaped property. The historical elegance is maintained while all modern comforts are afforded. Hosts are gracious and informative yet never intrusive.

Civil War buffs: this is the place to stay! My husband and I recently stayed in the "Southern Charm" room. The Mayhurst lives up to its description; the beauty of the home and the landscape is unsurpassed. There is an air of luxury to this B&B... the breakfast is gourmet, the decor of the home is well-appointed, and the grounds...
