My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay with Pat and Jack at the Mayhurst Inn. It was the first weekend in January and along with low temperatures, we had a dusting of snow. The Inn was warm and cozy and our hosts had a wonderful assortment of suggestions for restaurants, wineries and indoor sites to visit. Orange, VA has...

Enjoyed our visit to Mayhurst Inn. The room was actually a suite and very well provisioned. There was great WiFi service, charming wine and cheese in the evening where we were able to chat with the owners and other guests, and a delicious breakfast. Perfect stop in the wine country of Virginia.

What an interesting and completely lovely Bed and Breakfast. I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable stays we've had in a B&B or hotel, anywhere. The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were very nice and the service/breakfast/etc...were great as well. This is not the type of place where you do a lot of sitting...

Our second trip to Mayhurst. It is a beautiful and well cared for. The innkeepers, Jack and Pat, are great at what they do. Plus, you get the added bonus of their knowledge of history! The wine and cheese evenings are such a nice touch. We will return.

The home is decorated beautifully with James and Dolly Madison themes everywhere. The owners were super friendly and Definitely have a "servants heart". The bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing with plenty of room in the bathroom as well.

This is our fourth annual visit to this stunning Inn. We love the experience every time. The innkeepers are really great! There is a nightly wine and cheese social . It enhances the feeling of community! The breakfasts are delicious and huge! Jack and Pat help you make reservations and plans for your visit. The Inn is steeped in history...

The Mayhurst Inn is incredible. We were married here. The Mayhurst and surrounding property is beautiful. The accommodations excellent. Jack and Pat are incredible and go "above and beyond" in every area to make you feel welcome. We purchased a package, which included the Italian Suite, the dinner, and the wedding ceremony...including flowers and photography. We were so very pleased...

We spent two nights at Mayhurst Inn while visiting Virginia from California. I found the place online and picked it because of the photos and reviews. It was even lovelier than we had hoped! The house and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The owners, Jack and Pat, are very welcoming and informative. We chatted over wine and cheese, and learned...

Our three days at Mayhurst were perfect. Pat and Jack North are extraordinary Innkeepers who maintain the Inn and its 37 acres impeccably. Great breakfasts and wine and cheese in the late afternoons. My wife Linda and Pat North had worked together years ago and had fun sharing memories.

Cousins (all adults) from Boston to Alabama gathered here for a long overdue reunion and innkeepers Jack and Pat soon felt like family as well - albeit family members who can turn out far better breakfasts than any of us cousins. Each room has a story, and the innkeepers are happy to share the stories as well as encourage guests...
