Needs updating room smelt if damp and the restaurant is looking very shabby. Needs cleaning properly. Reception was not as welcoming as usual. They seem more interested in moaning about the turnaround than welcoming new guests

Booked a two night stay @ PI Runcorn. Had a 4 1/2 hr drive and on arrival @ 10.45pm had to wait 30 mins because they couldn't find our room! eventually gave us a key but when we opened the door there was someone in the room! Waited another 10 mins before they found another room but the system wouldn't allow them to book us in so in the end we had to ask them to book us into the PI in Widnes (next town). They only had one night available but we were so tired we took it. They couldn't give me a refund on my two nights but said they would process it. Drove over to Widnes and was then asked to pay £80 for the privileged of being double booked! Still shocked at the whole experience actually.

Our overall experience over 3 nites at Prestonbrook was very good and both of us had a very nice stay. Having family close to this location makes it an ideal location for stay overs & get togethers in the on site Beefeater's Pub Restaurant where the breakfasts & evening meals are highly recommended. Staff are pleasant & polite and I couldn't fault them even over this very busy period.

We arrived at 5pm after a busy day out with the children. They struggled to find our booking, then said the room was not ready! We had to go wait at the beefeater, until 6pm! Check in was 2pm! This resulted in us having to prospone our table reservation to a later time, as we wanted to freshen up in the room before our evening meal. The children was tired and upset for having to wait. Additionally, staff was very friendly.
