Service at the hotel was amazing. Natalie and Natalie at reception were amazing they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Also Johnathan the chef food was on top and asked us what exactly we would prefer I will be back
So when you first arrive and see the hotel, you imagine an American motel, however get over this and the stay is good. Reception staff welcoming and friendly. Room is what you pay for, but clean and everything you need. We stayed 3 nights and the room was cleaned everyday and restocked with tea bits and towels. They even changed the bedding on the second day. Room was quiet, despite there being roadworks nearby. Location great for sightseeing places like Chester Zoo. Short walk to town, although not lot in the town, but great having a Wetherspoons nearby. Thank you to the team for a lovely stay. Great value.
This place looks like it is long overdue for a refurb in an area that seems to have been comprehensively regenerated and improved recently. Once you get over the first impressions from the unloved exterior, and the unusual 'French motel' style accommodation, it's actually not too bad. The phone in my room didn't work and th to couldn't receive ITV or channel 4. Those are just minor niggles though. Mainly I think your experience and view of the hotel will be dependent on your neighbours... because of the layout, all rooms have between 3 and 5 rooms adjoining them, and the walls have very little soundproofing. So you are at the mercy of your neighbours for a good nights sleep. I was woken in the early hours on 2 nights of my 3 night stay by loud talking, banging doors, toilet activities and the sound of people being sick. On the plus side, if you are lucky enough to get quiet neighbours or no neighbours, I found the bed comfy, the room a decent size and clean, and a great breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Car parking is free and it's handy for the train station.…
Arrived and was rudely told to come back near 3 , checked in to be overcharged £90 , went to our room and where met by a lot of polish men drinking and they tried to intimate us but we ignored it, bed was horrible felt and could see every spring and was dirty , (took pics) , polish ones where drinking doing drugs fire alarms went off police where involved , we complained about the noise they didn't care told us we couldn't be moved , but a day or two later lots of workmen checked in also sat outside drinking lots , I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to party , workers told me they can't go in to room's alone as the foreigners go in behind them to intimidate them they have to go in pairs told us their have been lots of complaints , should have paid heed to beer bottles outside rooms on arrivals Put chair against the door at night with suitcases as we felt unsafe there, was so glad to be told we had to leave earlier than planned wouldn't book my dog in here , avoid this place is my advice…
Had a fantastic stay yet again I really love staying at the hotel it's our second stay since the pandemic ended and nothing changed it still our favourite place to stay staff was friendly and lovely and rooms was amazing
Spotlessly clean and very good and friendly service from arrival to departure. Remember it is not a 5 star hotel but it makes up for it in many other ways. I would stay there again and recommend it for convenience to the station ie 100 yards away.
Booked this motel as a cheap option to stay overnight on route to a weekend in Liverpool. The outside looked really run down and tumbledown! I was quite shocked when I saw it! But maybe never judge a book by it's cover, as they say, because the room was fine. Small, but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, with directions to walk into the town centre and places to eat out. It was ok for a cheap, one night stay, when passing through the area. Parking was right outside the rooms and it's right next to the train station, so convenient if arriving or departing by train. Bathroom was tiny, but again, it was clean. Can't really fault it for the price, just needs a bit of attention to spruce up the outside really!
We expected a basic 2* but were nicely surprised by the range of facilities in the room. Spotlessly cleaned by Sarah, thank you 😁. Plenty of sockets at a convenient height, good lighting, great shower. Niggles? Yes, the walls are rather thin, wish for quiet neighbours and a grip rail for climbing in and out of the shower would be appreciated. Thank you Natalie and her team for your friendly welcome and smooth efficient service. Perfectly located by the rail station and a ten minute stroll to Runcorn town. We recommend a meal in Atmoesphere!
The Runcorn Campanile is a budget stay hotel but what makes it are the lovely staff. The rooms can come as a bit of a surprise if you haven't been before but they are a decent size and you can park virtually outside your door if you're in a ground floor room facing the front. Would've been nice to be warned about the diversions and only the fact that I'd been before allowed me to navigate my way there this time. I would hate to have been trying to find it in the dark. Competitive room rates and the wifi is free now. If you're looking for the hotel, aim for Runcorn Railway Station and it's very close to that.
The hotel quite close to train station, it took me only few minutes walk. Fresh air, canal, jubilee bridge, etc., moreover those infrastructure are ready. No matter go up to Runcorn Hill or go to the opposit bank, I can find beautiful flowers, buildings. Shopping city is not far away.
