We enjoyed a wonderfully warm welcome from the gentleman at reception who also noted that my wife had a mobility problem and changed our room to a more accessible one. The room itself was of a good size, an excellent decor and a comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant is of a fine dining standard with friendly, professional service. We... More

This hotel has been designated as our new place of choice. I was quite disappointed. Checkin was polite and easy. Room was awful. Small and run down. Trickle of water from shower. Wafer thin walls so you can hear every creak in the hotel. Nobody tending bar so had to go searching for someone. Breakfast was poor with lack of... More

Great staff, modern rooms but why do they have to be sooooo expensive when it comes to drinks! I would never normally say this but *sneak in your wine! Buy a glass and pop to your room to top it up! Only joking, not about the expense though. That aside the food was great and the rooms were clean. Would... More

We stopped at this hotel for a weekend and whilst the rooms look a bit tired , overall it was very nice. The dinner was excellent although a limited menu, and breakfast was excellent. There was a wedding on while we were there but although you could here the music in our room it wasnt too noisy , and finished... More

Attended a wedding reception here last weekend, and must say the meal was excellent. Nice grassy areas outside for photos and drinks reception. We did not stay although a lot of other guests did and took advantage of preferential rates. Waiting staff very attentive throughout, and well done to Eamonn (M.C.)and his team. Only slight criticism I would mention was... More

I stayed here with my husband the night before flying from Manchester airport. It was not at all what I was expecting. I had read the reviews but I did not expect a beautiful country house, in its own stunning grounds. The hotel is set in a lovely residential area, within easy walking distance of a really nice pub (The... More

We stayed here for one night, good price for 2 people with free taxi to airport and 2 weeks parking. Room clean but mould in bathroom and very old dated room, bed was not very comfortable springs dig in you and it seems to be two singles pushed together, staff very friendly which may be why it is 4 star... To be fair, we only used the room - no breakfast or walk around the grounds. But the room was a big disappointment and I'm curious to know how the 4 stars were achieved. The room was very tired - think Travellodge with 20 years' wear. Holes in the wall from where something had been removed, and from looking at... More

We would definitely use this hotel again if flying from Manchester. We booked this as a park and fly arrangement and were very happy. We ended up having evening meal and breakfast at the hotel which bumped the bill up a little but the quality of the food was well worth it. Our room was well equipped and very comfy... More

I write this review as someone who stayed at the hotel for 2 nights purely because there was a wedding reception for family being held there. My opinion is that this is a hotel excellent for staying at pre flight (very close to Manchester Airport) or as we were staying for an event. This is not a holiday hotel. Check... More
