The Royal Chace Hotel made our celebration very special, and thank you to Lorraine Bond Sales manager for all the help she gave us in organising the function. We had guests who stayed at the Hotel ,they were very pleased with thier rooms, and help on arrival. We would definitely recommend this Hotel for best service and helpfulness.

Sorry but a very disappointing stay at the Royal Chace. The hotel is beautiful from the outside but the rooms are dark, dingy and in need of an upgrade. Our room was not clean, with cobwebs up the wall and all across the ceiling. The room was also absolutely roasting, and despite trying to turn the radiator off the pipes...

Set in a surprisingly rural part of Middlesex between Enfield and the M25. There is ample car parking and attractive grounds. The hotel is mainly in good order and many parts have been updated and there is ample room for conferences and events. Our room was comfortable and clean and well decorated and the dining areas good. Two rooms of...

The hotel was comfortable and the grounds lovely for a late afternoon walk in the sunshine. The evening meal was good and my colleague who needed gluten free food found information on the menu and also staff willing to check. Unfortunately she had a very slight reaction to the food which could have been gluten free bread contaminated on warming....

This is my third stop over here for business purposes. The rooms are more than adequate. Not 5 star but not trying to be. Comfortable, well looked after, neat, tidy and above all clean. Erkan and the restaurant team in the hotel are great. Every time I have visited now they have treated me as a guest rather than a...

The place feels quite neglected and unloved. Rooms could do with refurbishing as they are dated. Mine also stunk of cigarette smoke, even though itt was a non smoking hotel. Certainly not a place you would want to stay other than if the location was close for business. Not terrible, but not good either

Arrived for a night with my new wife. Very friendly reception staff. Polish rather than unfriendly English people. Nice restaurant and good food. The room was very nice with a four-poster. As an example of how accommodating the staff were, we asked what time the pool is open. Not five minutes later, the pool man arrived and opened it up...

Only stayed here the one night whilst visiting an event in alexandra palace. Looks lovely from outside. Very quaint. The lady on reception was very sweet and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. Overall very impressed.

We spent four nights at the Chace for a wedding. The room was small but clean and pretty, the breakfasts were very decent, the staff were fantastic: from the young Spanish couple at the reception desk right through to the bar staff and managers, everyone was extraordinarily helpful and pleasant. The lunch and dinner menu is very nice, the food...

Small, cramped, stuffy room. Small hard bed. Old and tatty bed linen. Depressing room decor. The room was hot, even with the window wide open. The 'tea making facilities' were sparse and there was no bottled water. We will not be returning.

Enfield, United Kingdom

This is an Open letter to Mr Breese, Managing Director of the Royal Chace Hotel,

Good morning Mr Breese,

I imagine people here on TripAdvisor will be growing very suspicious by now as to why you are not answering my questions?

That being the case, and being as you seem to be ignoring my emails as well, I will keep re-sending my emails until you do reply.

As you will see in your in-box and here on TripAdvisor, a well respected forum where hotel directors, their staff and their guests have the opportunity to exchange views, I have asked you a number of questions, and once you come out of hiding, I intend to ask you some more.

Like why does the cost of a standard double room at The Royal Chace go up by over 40% when two people sharing that room order breakfast?

Like why your hotel asks new arrivals to your hotel signing in, to pay an additional deposit/bond of fifty pounds sterling before they have even seen their room?

Like when you answered my review of The Royal Chace Hotel, why you chose not to explain in full clarifying detail why my partner and I had such a long wait for our breakfast?

Instead, taking the option of misinforming people that there was a full selection of other breakfast materials available when there obviously was not.

If your version of events were true Mr Breese perhaps you would care to explain why my partner and I, and other guests as well, were kept waiting 40 minutes for our breakfast?

Why, when your breakfast brasserie did eventually make all breakfast options available, my partner found her hash browns were raw in the middle and inedible?

Why in your answer to my review you never made any mention, let alone an apology, about my partners hash browns being raw. It wasn't as if they had been brought out in a rush; she had only been waiting forty minutes!

Over to you Mr Breese, please answer each question fully to the best of your ability. I know you are a busy man but I believe there is now a public interest, not only myself, in your replies.

And should you choose not to respond to the points I have raised, potential guests may well form the opinion you have something to hide; that is not the case is it Mr Breese, surely not?
