This was our second visit to this hotel and one of many to quiet and pretty little Brisaggo. while the hotel is right on a busy main road, its design means that most rooms face the lake and traffic noise is almost non-existent. The views over Lago Maggiore and onto the Italian shores are stunning, both from the front-facing bedrooms...

Lago Maggiore is a lovely lake of considerable size and the village of Brissago is located on the Swiss side of the border to Italy. Hotel Rivabella was built as a hotel in the 19th century and has a strong historic flair with a well kept subtropical garden on the lakefront (private beach for swimming in chilly but clean waters)...

We (2 couples) thought the hotel was wonderful! The location is simply superb, the garden most certainly the highlight, the service immaculate and friendly. Thank goodness, breakfast was served at the table (the menu extensive) and not subject of a horrendous "buffet". Such service is extremely rare and accordingly welcome! The English couple would have appreciated tea-making facilities in the...

I stayed here with three friends of mine (2 Swiss, 1 American and me, from Austria) for a week (July 22-28, 2013). I was like in a dream. The amazing look on the lake from the rooms, palm trees, a lush green garden, the wonderful people at the hotel, especially Hugo, the owner, his mother and Verbena who is so...

We staid in this hotel for two nights on our route to Marche. Although Brissago is not on the route to Macerata, we liked this hotel very much. It is not the great luxury, but the welcome is very warmly and friendly, the atmosphere is very warm, the rooms are good, the bathroom is comfortable, the wifi works perfectly within...

Very cosy and nice hotel. Friendly staff. Beautiful lake view from every room. Rooms spacious and clean. Perfect garden and nice beach for sun bathing. Swimming is challenging because of slipery rocks and waves. But I am a very experienced swimmer so its ok. Only negative - no service at reception which is ok but main door is open for...
