Beautiful view at Lago Maggiore, unique garden above the lake, excellent breakfast served with soul...This is Rivabella, real paradise where you feel relaxed and friendly treated. You can swim in the morning and drink wine at the terrace in the evening. I and my wife come here every year with great pleasure. And feel like at home. Thanks to Quaglia family, the owners of the hotel since 19th century!
We stayed 3 days at Rivabella and it was a very nice Surprise. The room was clean , the view is amazing, breakfast is served on the table with many delicious things and the service is extremely friendly. The owner of the place is very nice and it helps with whatever you need. The garten makes you feel like you are in a botanical garden. We felt like home. Nice atmosphere, quiet and we can’t wait to visit again. One small critic is that the room we stayed , we didn’t have wifi over the entire room so we always had to stay close to the door to get the signal but this is a very small problem compared to the delight that it was out stay at the Rivabella <3
We stayed for three nights. Lovely staff, very, very polite and sweet people! Perfect view to the Lake Maggiore. Simple bedrooms but very comfortable beds and all in all very clean!! Breakfast, served by the sweetest lady (mille grazie), nice variety of Croissant and bread, a good choice of jam and everything else. And of course: beautiful garden to relax. So, all in all: We enjoyed our stay!
We were there for an extended weekend with the whole family. The hotel is located right in front of the lake Maggiore and at the center of Brissago. It is a family business of Mr. Quaglia, thank you for the great management and your lovely staff, we really had a wonderful stay, your hospitality is much appreciated and will be recommended, keep up the good work, we should be back soon.
This place managed to mix up bookings. I got a call in which the receptionist cancelled my booking without offering an alternative acommodation. She did that the day before arrival; impossible for us to find anything else. Avoid such a place.
I stayed 10 nights in August and loved this hotel! Everyone was VERY friendly and accomodating, it's a great location, served delicious breakfast, and offered wonderful service. The lake view was gorgeous and air conditioning made my holiday stay perfect! Many thanks to the owner and staff!
This small hotel has lots of charms and history . You become hypnotized with the view from the room and garden . Serene and heavenly atmosphere. Special thanks to Ugo . Absolutely happy and definitely coming back .
This hotel sits on the lake side of the main road a few minutes walk from the 'bus stop, the town centre and several restaurants. One can go down to the lake through a lovely garden, use the recliners and/or swim in the lake from the public beach. Watch out when coming out of the water, some of those stones are a bit sharp on one's feet so have your flip-flops nearby! What makes the difference here is the excellent personal service. Guests are treated individually, there is attention to detail and perhaps the most pleasant time is breakfast on the terrace with so many options and super food. There is a lounge so one can watch the TV with other guests, one can use the honesty bar, it is made easy for one to feel relaxed and at home. The hotel provides a canton-wide free transport card which also gives discounts at many attractions so one can 'bus into Locarno and then spread out from there.…
We come back every year to the Rivabella and we always have a wonderful time. Best place to relax! The hotel is very cosy and Mr Quaglia and his staff are always friendly and helpful. All rooms have a breathtaking view of the lake and from this year air conditioning too. The hearty breakfast on the terrace overlooking the hotel's lush tropical garden and the lake is the perfect start to the day. Private Meadow beach with sunbeds. We'll see you next year!
If you want a warm welcome and a genuine local experience from a small family run hotel in a glorious location then Rivabella au Lac will not disappoint. It is a well-appointed, modest hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, fabulous views of Lake Maggiore and a beautiful well stocked garden with direct access to the lake. Ugo Quaglia the owner is most obliging and helpful as are Irène and all the staff. Breakfast is served on the terrace by a delightfully bubbly lady with sunny smiles. It is a lovely base to explore the mountains, valleys and towns around the lake. We would definitely recommend and hope we will be lucky enough to return. Grazie
