This was our 16th holiday at Hotel Krone since 2005 and we've seen a lot of changes. This time, Roberto's Restaurant has been replaced by a LenkerMilch shop but the pizza oven has moved to the main restaurant, and there's still the choice of dining around at some other nearby restaurants. For the first time, I needed gluten-free food for...

Due to a busy Saturday night in Lenk, all other places fully booked, we eat at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of food was not good, vegetables came from frozen ingredients, same for the meat that was imported from Latin America and not local (Simmental has the best meat in Europe). Additionally wine is slightly overpriced.

This hotel is located on a quiet square in Lenk, and a short distance from the railway station. I stopped here for one night on a walking holiday and had a comfortable room with a private balcony. The half board evening meal was excellent and the breakfast buffet the following morning was very good - superb crispy bacon! The staff...

We spent a long weekend with our 2 kids here (3&7), and everything was in order: good and friendly service, clean and well kept rooms, good breakfast table, in the heart of the village close to shops and restaurants. The pool and jacuzzi are a nice treat after a day's walk too! The hotel is definitely worth its ***, and...

Pleasant short stay in an economy room on the 2nd floor of the old building. Most rooms, reception, breakfast room and pretty much all facilities are in the new building, which appears equally pleasant, if not better. The 1st floor of the old building is occupied by a kindergarten but this was closed while we there, so it did not...

The hotel is very comfortabld. However i was a bit disappointed with the restaurant. They were supposed to be ready at a certain time, 30 minutes later, they were not ready and they told us, that the kitchen hast just openned. This happened every morning. I think that swiss perfection is far a way!

The Krone is a reasonably big hotel that at the time of visiting was virtually unoccupied. The few staff we saw were pleasant and friendly. Dinner (fixed menu half board) was fine if unexceptional. Good Bircher muesli at breakfast, and nice selection of breads, but jams etc were mass produced rather than regional. The room was overwhelmingly brown and beige...

The hotel is a bit outdated, but overall OK. Breakfast was good, the dinner was served in the hotel's pizzeria (hotel's restaurant was closed), which was OK, but charging 5 franks for tap water was a surprise. Very central, Coop supermarket virtually next door, railway station 3 minutes walk away. We've had the issue with the luggage that should have...

My wife and I visited this hotel last year and it has to be the worst place we had ever stayed, however as part of this years holiday we had to pass through this hotel again and I have to be honest and say that I was not looking forward to it...but what a difference this year. After last years...

In general, one might say that the hotel is in need of a cosmetic overhaul. But having said that the furniture in our room and in public spaces was never tired, perhaps the design is dated, but it's all working, and I've slept better here than in a 5* hotel we've recently visited. We had the double "suite" on 3rd...
