The rooms were pretty clean and sheets were changed everyday however due to false advertising we did not have any entertainment or a pool but the staff we’re friendly and upgraded are rooms for the inconvenience. There is really good Wi-fi in the rooms and it’s not too far from a beach or the a great shopping area.

I am aware that prices are low, but the quality is still too low.  We got a twin bed room despite asking for a double bed room in the booking. After pointing this out, the staff changed our room.  In the new room, the shower was not working. They told us that they would try to change it, otherwise they would have given us another room. Fortunately, they replaced it, but the TV didn't work either. We decided not to protest and not to watch at the TV.  On the second day, they didn’t tidy our room, justifying the lack of staff. We therefore went personally to the reception to have at least clean towels and soap.  Third day: the same thing, unmade service, uncleaned bathroom, any towel.  On the fourth day they finally cleaned our room. But they didn't leave us any shower gels.  There isn’t hairdryer. The wifi doesn’t always work, especially in the evening. The rooms are old-fashioned and uncleaned. Not everyone at the reception desk speaks English.  The plus points are: the air conditioning that works perfectly, the staff very helpful, the location.

I have stayed in Calella before at the hotel Olympic ( stay away due to some scummy guests) so I wished to return to Calella for its nice weather and lovely people. This time me and my partner booked a 3 day break for us without our ( much older ) child on a room only basis as we did not need all inclusive. This hotel is basic but clean. Tv, bath/shower room decent beds and great location, oh, fantastic air con too which is a must for me coming from north east England where we still get snow in April! What more can I say. Train station ( Barcelona 10 euros return and amazing scenery ) and beach 5-10 mins walk away and the town centre is based on a simple grid system ( think Manhattan ) so it’s easy to get around. Not a great deal more I can say, as a base to go from it’s great. It’s a 2 star and a very good 2 star when all you want is a nice room it’s a comfy bed. Big thank you to the staff here, not many, but enough. I will happily stay again. Ps. The actual entrance is round the side to the road the address is on but basically it’s 3 blocks down from the main road the coach drops you off on.
