Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upon arriving at the Neptuno for an 8 night stay in one of their two bed apartments we were told our room needed repairs so they had booked us into the hotel for the first night. As a family of 5 they had put us in 2 separate rooms that were not even next door to one another. For the inconvenience they did give us an evening meal and breakfast for free. The food was edible-just!! The following day we moved into the apartment which was down the road from the hotel with a private locked entrance. This meant if we wanted to use the pool we had to walk down the street to get to it. The apartment itself was really big and spacious and had everything we needed. Was disappointed that our room wasn't cleaned once whilst we were there. Maids came to change our towels a couple of times but that was it. Shortly after getting into our 'repaired' apartment (there was no evidence of any repairs! We wondered if it was due to us staying for 8 nights and not the usual 7 that the room had been double booked) the fridge started leaking across the floor. Our 2 year old walked straight into the puddle, as none of us had noticed it, and slipped banging his head. It took 2 phone calls and me visiting reception in person before an engineer came to fix the fridge. We didn't get any apology or any show of concern as to how our son was. English was limited from the staff at reception.
The pool at the hotel was very small which was great for our young children as they were never far from the wall to grab it and there was a nice little play area for our youngest.
The hotel, as mentioned in other reviews did seem to attract groups of loud German youths. They did show very little regard for others with the noise, overly aggressive play in the pool when young children were swimming and beer being spilled through the corridors of the apartments as well as thrown off the balcony into the street below, some actually flicked cigarette ash from their balcony whilst we were walking below which then landed on my 2 year old's head! I wouldn't normally mention this as I know it is not the fault of the accommodation but it has been mentioned by other reviewers which suggests some sort of pattern-be aware of this especially if you are travelling with children.
It was ok but we have stayed in nicer more family orientated places in calella so would probably not stay here again.

We stayed here in August, we were in a two bedroom apartment which was clean and well maintained with towels changed regularly. However the apartments need to be sound proofed or have some kind of supervision, We enjoyed the first half of our stay but the last days or should I say nights were ruined by the behaviour of a large group of teens/twenties who ran between floors shouting and playing loud music. Some nights they didn't quieten down til 8 am!! It was very intimidating.
The apartments are very central and only a few minutes from the beach , The area is lovely.
It's a pity about the lack of supervision in the apartments especially when large groups are booked in.

It was great! The apartments and hotel are nearby the beach. We were on the side with the new pool, it's said that it is 21+ but there were a lot of noisy children... also a lot of younger people in the hotel a few doors away and they were always drinking outside and making such a noise. But the apartment was clean when we checked in and the staff was very helpfull!

Situated in the middle of Calella, just far enough away from the main restaurant streets to be fairly quiet (unless they have flamenco on in the hotel!). Also perfect for Ironman Barcelona as midway between the registration venue / start and transition, which is about 1km further along the beach.
The apartments are basic but very clean and pretty well equipped. An apartment for 4 would be cramped for 4 people but had plenty of room for two of us and 2 road bikes plus all their travel boxes etc etc. Not a lot of room on the balcony to dry clothes/wetsuits without water dripping onto the heads of the people below, and could do with more hanging hooks etc for towels / clothes around the place but nontheless good value for money at around £45 / night for the apartment. Staff could not be more helpful and organised early breakfasts etc on race day (not included in apartment charge but an optional extra).
NB Hotel has on site parking but there is a very cheap car park just a few 100m away near the football pitch which costs only 1 euro per day.
Access from Barcelona is also easy since it is just off the N11 coast road and signposted from there just after getting into town.

It's is a hotel on one of the traditional Spanish streets. It is like a tardis. If you want a sunbathing round the pool holiday, then this is not the hotel for you. There is a pool but not much sun around it. It was ok for us for a long weekend, we had the Titanic Suite 2 bedrooms living /dining room & kitchen 2 bathrooms, lovely patio garden and higher level a sun terrace, (without sun beds or furniture, which is a real shame) great place near bars restaurants etc.

I will not return to the Neptuno apartments in Calella, they ask for 100 euros as a deposit, you have to clean the kitchen and leave everything the same as you found it, they still do not return the deposit, I feel cheated
