Hi there. I had a second floor room with balcony overlooking the pool. It certainly had the sun most of the day. I had a side view of the sea, and the railway in the distance. The hotel is surrounded by higher rise hotels so you would not get a direct sea view room. I would not call the immediate area pretty, but it is very close to all amenities, and just a very short walk (turn right on leaving the hotel entrance) to the shopping area, and to get down to a subway to access the beach. Good flat walking.
As for noise? Well the hotel is situated on 2 busy roads, and whilst I was there, there was building work going on directly across from me. The balconies are all I would say overlooked, but do not let that put you off. The staff are great, the rooms are fine, and kept spotlessly clean, and the food is also good. There is some noise at night but I did not find it that intrusive, and noise within the hotel was kept to a minimum.
