We spent 5 days at Casa Hilario. We had a beautiful stay there and we can only recommend it. It’s quiet, peaceful, relaxing and calming. The view over the fields and the villages with their white houses is so nice. The rooms have individual design, the bed is huge and the bathroom is very cool. It’s a mix between modern and traditional architecture. The plants and trees around the house are all very pretty. We enjoyed a lot spending the afternoon in the shadow of the trees in the courtyard or eat breakfast on the terrace.
This is an absolutely lovely hotel with a terrace thar has a wonderful view of the mountains opposite and the sea in the distance. It is beautifully designed with a beautiful artistic hallway and each room individually designed. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are great with nice powerful showers. There is an excellent buffet breakfast served each morning. The whole ambience is so cosy and welcoming. The Casa de Hilario is brilliantly situated, only 26 minutes drive from the stunning Timanfaya National Park and around 25 minutes drive from the stunning Papagayo beach and surrounding beaches. I would stay here again without a second thought!
I wanted a smallish hotel in a smallish town to provide a peaceful and restful stay. Casa de Hilario provided all this and more. It is uniquely and individually decorated and the furniture also reflects this. It is more of a guesthouse than hotel with just minimal staffing for breakfast and cleaning, this we knew by previous reviews and it suited us just fine. It is situated on the edge of town so close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away to still be peaceful even during the busy fiesta week.
The Casa de Hilario was a pleasant place to stay. There are in fact ten rooms, most of which are on the ground floor and most of those surround the courtyard. One or more ground floor rooms face outwards not inwards. Upstairs there are two rooms, one is a small one with no patio or balcony (might be room 1 or 7). The other is room 10 and is enormous with a patio and fridge (no cava in ours, just water) and fantastic views. I thought it was cleaned very well but no change of towels. Breakfast was average - certainly good enough for us. The restaurant next door is a bit expensive and the menu a bit limited but it is in an equisite setting. Yaiza itself I thought was a bit on the dull side. We couldn't actually find the other restaurants. We did call into the sister hotel one day but it was too far to walk to. Directions to both hotels were pretty bad. The Casa Hilario is next door to a well-signposted Bodega de Santiago and near a petrol station. The hotel had wifi but it didn't work very well.…
On arrival as an unexpected stop over we were greeted with hospitality and kindness ,, given a tour of the vacinity and amenities straight away with a smile after a long journey. The views are absolutely astonishing from oyr chalet, The breakfast was fresh and fabulous in this secluded diamond . The staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was a chore to them with our requests. Nice relaxing area and B&B with pool and definitely would recommend for a couple retreat or just to recharge the battery levels
