Knew we were going to arrive early due to flights so took the bus from the airport which passes through Puerto Carmen on the way to Puerto Calero. Our bags were looked after while we took a first look at the Marina. A pleasant surprise after the sight of Carmen. We were given Villa 1 which is a three bed on the corner plot. Every room has an entrance onto the terrace pool area. All the beds are large and memory foam type mattresses. We wanted a quiet private place to call home for a week and that is what we got. I had done the research so knew it is part of a small complex but this does not detract from the private feel. The pool water is checked every two days and the towels changed in the middle of your stay. The restaurants on the marina cater for all tastes and represent decent value. The walk back up to the accommodation is hard work though - do not try this unless able bodied. Due to the pink dust in the area your swimming costumes will stain when you swim - the water in the pool only feels cold the first time you go in - jump in and brave the chill - it's fun. We enjoyed our stay very much. If you have a hire car or if not get a taxi to Lidl - the staff there will call you one for the journey back - get your supplies for the week, daytime snacks and drinks but use the restaurants at night

Was happy when we arrived with cleanliness and layout - lovely small pool and outside space and good living space. Very echoey villas which we thought were detached but could hear every sound below us in early hours in morning too! Doors banged and woke us up, every footstep could be heard so sleep was very disturbed. The owner - an older man, appeared in our outside area on the last day , speaking very little english, grumpily stating that our children were diving in the pool which they were not! They were splashing and having fun so maybe one to avoid if you have children. Was a shame as nice location and layout but noise at night and the fact that the owner can just walk into your private garden area and accuse children of something they didn't do put a dampener on holiday. Won't be rebooking this villa.

Arrived early and it was being cleaned and they allowed us to put our baggage in and told us to come back after an hour. They were true to their word. I did not realise it as on a complex but that was no problem, its a lovely quiet and peaceful location. We had our own plunge pool, plenty of sunbathing space and the pleasant surprise was it was a 3 bed villa not a 2 bed like it said on the booking. The cleaners are really friendly and came in and down towel change, made beds and replaced loo roll 3 times during the week but did not get in our way they always waited for us to pop out then they popped in. Defo worth a visit, and the shops and restaurants area 5 minute walk
