Arrived in the evening (villa 48) after a fairly smooth drive in the hire car provided (recommend getting one). The villa is spacious, clean and has everything we need. There are a couple of shops in walking distance but car is needed if you want to do a ‘big shop’. The pool area is fantastic with lots of space to have a laugh or just chill out. There are obviously minor faults, like with most things. My biggest issue is the quality of the pillows...see a very minor issue! You can walk into Playa Blanca - it takes about 30 minutes then get a taxi back for about 4 euros. Would definitely book a villa holiday again, had a great time and didn’t want to go home!

We stayed at number 10. Lovely size villa, all rooms very spacious. Kitchen only basic. Would recommend more dishes, Tupperware etc. Also it would have been a nice gesture to provide salt/pepper sauces etc, as we had to purchase these and only consumed a small amount! Pool small but nice. Was cleaned once whilst we were renting. It would have been nicer if the pool was provided with Lilos etc, again we had to purchase these, but I’m sure other families would have done the same! The floor was very dirty when we arrived, maybe cleaner forgot to do this. Towels provided are very small. Villa was further out of town than we thought, however it only took twenty minutes to walk to where all bars and restaurant are and taxi cost less than €5 euros to return. Local beach small, would recommend hiring a car so you could visit papaygo beach, just lovely.

We had never stayed in a villa before and were a little bit nervous about it but after reading the reviews on here we decided to give it a go. Everything was as described and the villa was as good as the photos showed. The surrounding area was very quiet and the villa was very clean with lots of indoor and outdoor space. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the welcome pack was extensive and saved us a trip to the shops for a couple of days - thank you Helen! The villa was nicely decorated and had all the fixtures and fittings you would expect in your own home from a selection of books to read to DVD’s to cleaning products under the sink and all the kitchen utensils you could possibly need. There was also a washing machine and dishwasher although we didn't use these. Bedrooms were large and pool towels were also provided. A big factor for choosing this villa was for its privacy and we enjoyed several days lazing around the lovely heated pool. There is also a jacuzzi but we only used this once. There is also a BBQ area which we didn't use on this occasion. We hired a car from Autoreisen at the airport after booking it from the UK. The pick up and drop off were very efficient and it only cost £89 for 7 days (we ordered a Citroen C3 but had a free upgrade to a C4). We walked to and from Playa Blanca town every night. The first night it took about 30 minutes but then we found a short cut via a gate at the bottom of the complex and that cut the walk to 15 minutes each way. The centre of Playa Blanca has a great selection of bars and restaurants, El Peregrino Spanish tapas restaurant was our favourite and well worth a visit. The TV works off the Wifi and this wasn't the best during our stay but for internet access it was good. Helen has said that this has been upgraded since our stay. If this has improved the Wifi then there are film channels to watch the latest films and all the sports channels you could possibly want. There is heating and air conditioning but due to the time of year that we stayed, we didn't need either. The owner Helen is very helpful and easy to deal with and always replies quickly to any questions. A mention too for John who maintains the property for the owners - he was an absolute star - he called around a couple of times when we had a few issues with the TV / hot tub / electricity supply and always had time for a chat and gave some great advice regarding places to visit and restaurants. On his advice we visited El Golfo a tiny seaside village with a black volcanic background. The place had some amazing scenery and was unspoilt with tourism and had a handful of Spanish restaurants and shops where many people only spoke Spanish. This little gem of a villa definitely made our holiday and we really enjoyed Playa Blanca as a resort. We could not fault it at all and would highly recommend staying here. We were so impressed with the whole experience that we have booked again for next year. We stayed at villa 31 which was owned by Helen. Helen was great to deal with and will quickly answer any questions you have. Don't book through a main tour operator - book through Owners Direct website or Home Away website and book your own flights. This will save you a lot of money. The property reference on those websites is 6466150. It's not too easy to find so just search Playa Blanca villas and look for the photo. I have included some photos that I took together with the main photo from the websites which will help to identify this lovely villa.

The fuse box continually tripped meaning we had no lights at night. The Villa management were unable to fix this, so over 24 hours later we were moved to the next door villa once it was free. Things were looking up, but on the last night we were broken into and the villa's safe ripped out. Disappointing as in theory this should have been a great holiday.

Currently staying in villa 55. The villa is beautiful and very clean. It is well equipped for a family of 6. The pool although heated is still cool but once your in it's fine. The only issue we have had is the electric supply, we had the oven, hob and lights on and it kept tripping. As mentioned in other reviews there are no English channels on the tv but if you go to tools, scroll down to audio language and select default language, if it is an English speaking program it will revert back to English. So Disney channel came in handy for the kids. The villa is very quiet which was perfect for us. There is a shop over the road for essentials but the spar in town is much better for a main shop. It's quite a walk down but a taxi has been costing us 4.50€ down and 3.50€ back so it's not a problem. If you phone for a taxi and are more than 4 remember to tell them. All in all we would recomend Las Buganvillas.

Definitely provided the " Wow factor on arrival" Comfortable light airy spacious accommodation with heated ( although a little cool ) Pool. No English TV channels No manuals on how to operate appliances and equipment for cooking sparse in kitchen. No soap dishes or toothbrush holders in bathrooms not enough towel rails. Nowhere to dry clothes if raining. Private quiet 15 mins to Playa Blanca center - Supermarkets Cafe's bars & eateries all available. Cappuccino Cafe in PBCentre serves lovely coffee & fresh pastries.

Arrived at the villa on the 6th Oct and wow what a lovely villa very impressed the place is very clean and tidy 3 bedrooms 2 with ensuite very spacious inside all the kitchen essentials ie washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer even got a laundry area so you can peg your washing out 😊 got tv in main living room but could only get foreign channels as the freeview box we couldn’t get to work but that didn’t matter as we wasn’t bothered about watching tv we brought are Bose speaker to listen to music which was great around the pool hope the neighbours enjoyed are music too 😜WiFi make sure you have enough data on your phones has this didn’t work when we arrived you could t log on to the network but we phoned up and after 3days this was sorted out by the tech guy who had to come out and sort the problem only to find it was the iOS 11 on the iPhone that wasn’t allowing the unsecured network to join all sorted thou pool has a light which is nice at night time but you have to ask the maintenance man to switch it on for you you also have a nice bbq outside but we haven’t used yet as the restaurants we have been to the food is epic and cheap so prob not gunna use it as don’t wanna be cleaning a bbq while on holiday the walk into the town is about 15mins but a nice walk or a taxi 4 Euro everyone here is very friendly we have met some lovely people already we have been told not to eat in the buffet Chinese in town apparently the food is disgusting so just a heads up there and not to mention the weather is scorching 🔥but definitely will be returning here again

Me and my boyfriend are staying in the las buganvillas as we speak.....the villa is absolutely perfect we couldnt of wished for anything better! It is really clean and there is everything you need in here from an ironing board to hairdryers. There are 3 bathrooms altogether, 2 of them been en suites. There is  air con  in most rooms which makes the villa lovely and cool, the beds are probably the comfiest beds we have ever slept in, the pool is a perfect size (We didn't choose to have it heated but we have been going in every day and the temperature is fine and just what u need to cool down), there is a bbq and around 6 sun loungers, the pool cleaner has been coming every few days and does a mint job. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer etc. One downside is we haven't found any English tv channels apart from 1 music one but this isn't a problem as we haven't come on holiday to watch Tv anyway. We had a bit of a problem trying to get a taxi on the first night. One didn't even turn up at all and then the next night we tried booking again and she couldn't understand us properly so she kept hanging up but eventually they ended up sending one and we have been getting one every day since with no problems. The main taxi number for playa blanca is 0034928524222. There is a little shop at the end of the road (straight across from the recycling bins at the opening of the complex, it is only small and a bit set back so its very easy to miss!), it opens till about 9pm and it sells all the essentials but for a big shop your better off going to the spar in town and there is a taxi rank straight across road from it so you can easily get your shopping back to the villa. We didn't choose to hire a car while we have been here but if your not willing to pay for taxis every day then I recommend hiring one as it's quite a walk into town  if your a bit lazy like us!.......there is also a bus stop around the corner from the complex.....playa Blanca is a lovely relaxed  place with plenty of restraunts and bars but there is only a couple that open till really late so  if your a bit of a party animal it's not the right place for you. But puerto del Carmen is just a 30 min bus ride away if you want more livelier nightlife. The only thing we really have to complain about is the lack of information received by our jet2 reps, as the first night we got here we was just took to our villa with a ' welcome pack' with very little relevant information, we got here quite late and had no clue as to wether there was a shop near or how to get to town etc, We was really thirsty and the local shop was shut so we had to spend an hour on Google trying to find a takeaway that delivered so late just so we could get some food and  drinks to last us till the morning, we ended up finding somewhere that was open and it cost nearly 30 euros for a few bottles of pop and 2 burgers. But even though the price was steep it was still a godsend as we couldn't of waited till the next day till we had a drink as we had been travelling most of the day and feeling dehydrated. Jet2 has still not let us know what time our transfer is picking us up next week to take us to the airport which has resulted in me having to ring customer service and I am still no wiser. Apart from this we are having a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return in the future. I would 100% recommend this resort  to anyone but Playa Blanca is definitely more for just couples and family's that want a relaxing chilled holiday. 10/10 from us. P.s - taxis cost roughly 4 euros from the villa into town! Also if you are buying alcohol for the villa there is a lot of tax free shops in town which is soooo cheap it's unreal, for example a litre of Smirnoff vodka is around 11 euros and you can also get a bottle of grey goose for under 25 euro! A few bars we recommend are The tavern which is near the taxi rank in town, it has lovely cocktails and they also sell carling and fosters if you like your lager! Also good entertainment and friendly staff. The best place for a English breakfast is called The ice house! English friendly staff and epic food. If you are Into watching football etc there is plenty of sportsbar's such as Popeyes.
