The hotel is located circa 1,5 km from the beach, so you can walk or take a free bus picking up the guests from the hotel (route every 10-15 minutes). At the beach you can find a few souvenirs shops with affordable prices. There you can also take a bus (2€ ticket) and go to visit a very nice town Portocristo with Dragon Caves. The buses also go to e.g. Manacor or Palma.
Back to the hotel. Cleaning, changing sheets and towels took place every day. The food was great, fresh and varied. Also, besides tea, coffee and juice you could serve yourself beer or wine for the meal. The masks and hands desinfection were obligatory while serving the food/drinks and the staff was very strict about it. The drinks at the pool bar were mostly juice with alcohol, nothing fancy, but do you need anything more? ;) The hotel also has 2 grocery stores on the premises.
Anyway, thank you Globales for your hospitality. Greetings to the staff and mostly to the cute bartenders ;)
Adios,
Agata
The room we had wasn't great as it was sited above the kitchen and the balcony overlooked the service area. Many nights woken by bin trucks and delivery wagons. However, it was a two bed apartment with lots of space so we took the decision to stay there. The rooms are due a refurbishment but they are comfortable enough and we had plenty of storage space for clothes. The room keys are the card type and almost daily we had to go to reception because they'd failed and we were locked out. We were allowed to keep the room on our last day as we had a later flight. The fee was very reasonable at 22 Euro and we were allowed to remain until 4pm. Pool towels are provided in your room and if you want them changing at anytime, you can do this at reception for 1 Euro per towel.
While the room was kept clean, the sunbeds and patio areas around the pool were neglected. The staff might have the time to pay more attention to this if it wasn't for some of the rude and ignorant guests leaving rubbish all over that they could and should dispose of themselves. Empty cups, cigarette butts, cigarette ash, face masks, plates and discarded food, you name it. I know you're on holiday but come on people, either you're clean and tidy or you're not.
Tables in the restaurant were not properly cleaned between diners, the general practice being to wipe off any debris with a dry cloth. In the present climate especially, some disinfectant would have been a welcome sight.
There were plenty of toilets around the site and they were kept spotless, cleaned hourly. So - cleanliness for us, a mixed bag.
Pool was large and deep for the most part. It's in need of some TLC and indeed some repairs were being carried out during our stay.
The waterpark is a great addition and for young kids and adults alike, if this is your thing you'll enjoy the variety of slides.
Sunbeds - British people putting towels out when it's still dark is just nuts, or in one case leaving their two children (who looked under the age of 6) sleeping on them.
By 8am you'll be lucky to get one around the main pool and if you do, you'll have to watch while some of them are not even occupied until the afternoon.
There's a free bus service to and from the beach which is handy as it's about a 25 minute walk otherwise. The beaches at Sa Coma and Cala Millor are beautiful and if you don't spend at least a day there you're missing out.
The staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Overall, not a bad week for what we paid (booked last minute) but I won't be returning.
First impressions when we arrived was that it was very clean and well presented, very quick check in and reception staff were polite and friendly.
We had a one bedroom apartment, number 32 on the Rosa block; I couldn’t have had a better room if I’d picked it myself. The room was spotlessly clean with a housekeeping service every day which provided clean towels each day too, couldn’t have a had a better location for the room as it was right next to the main pool, bar and restaurants. It was a ground floor room with a huge terrace.
In terms of food, there is plenty of variety for everyone from pizza and chips, meats, pasta, rice, salad, fruit and a different ‘world’ dish each night. We are a family of two adults, 10yr and 12yr old children- we didn’t struggle at any meal time. The food is all fresh and is constantly being refilled, the restaurant staff do an amazing job keeping everything clean and tidy, in 11 days I didn’t see one table left with plates on, all tables and food serving areas were constantly spotless. The all inclusive drinks include red/white wine, cava, local lager, soft drinks and a range of cocktails- again there’s something for everyone. There are queues for food/drinks at certain times but the queues keep moving and you aren’t there long, they tend to look worse than they are.
Pool areas are kept clean, the kids loved the slides but we mainly stayed at the big main pool as they were happy enough playing with a ball and floaties in there.
In a lovely location, about a 20min walk into Sa Coma or there’s a free shuttle bus running regularly. Pretty close to Cala Millor too which is well worth a visit.
In the evening there is a childrens disco and other evening entertainment. There are bouncy castles and a stall that sell bits and pieces for children at the entertainment area which can get a bit pricey so be mindful of this when booking too- the bouncy castles are around €3.50/child for 15mins or €10/child for the full evening.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would be more than happy to return. Every member of staff were polite and friendly, the entertainment team work tirelessly to ensure everyone had a good time and they are brilliant with kids making the effort to include every child. As family holidays go, this is up there with one of the best.
Great Water park , slides are good for children
Bad points - sun loungers, parasols and the grounds are absolutely hanging I didn't even want to take my sliders off. I went camping a few weeks before this holiday and that was cleaner!! There is no staff cleaning around and you thought with covid they be more so on top of the cleanliness.
Children's pool all chipped stones in it hurts your feet walking through infact my daughter cut her heel in there.
They refuse to give me straws for my 2 toddlers drinks said I had to pay so I informed the manager and said I'd like straws for my kids drinks for the rest of our holiday it's appauling that a young child (my 2 year old) can't have a straw for her drink
Bedding in room is damp and smelly, not cleaned well.
No where to put towels and toiletries bags in bathroom so everything has to go on floor ! It Wouldn't hurt them to just put a shelf up so you can put your stuff on and towels instead of having to use the floor.
Staff can be rude infact they don't talk to you
Down by the entertainment section which isn't too bad for children but can cost a fortune as they charge over the odds for everything like the bouncy castles ECT
Ice creams are 3euro each from the ice cream parlour and you can't sit on your sun lounger to eat it !! You get told to move. Normally when I been away kids ice cream is all inclusive when you pay for all inclusive holiday.
Won't visit again or recommend to anyone
Spent 11 nights at this complex in August 2021. We travelled as 2 adults and a child aged 9 and stayed in a twin room in Binomia block (room 528). We had a view of the restaurant and children’s splash pool so we really enjoyed the central location as we were also close to reception and the bar.
Food was great and was available from 8.30 am until midnight. So much choice and with 3 restaurants and a snack bar in the waterpark to choose from, you could never go hungry. Soft drinks, juices, cocktails, spirits and beer were also good aswell.
Rooms were adequate for a family of 3 and although there wasn’t much room with the sofa bed pulled out we didn’t spend a lot of time In there so it was fine for us. The maids came in daily to clean and left us fresh towels and changed bedding frequently.
The complex was clean (apart from some guests leaving their cups and rubbish on the floor) but that’s not the hotels fault.
Sa coma beach is lovely and s 20 minute walk. Some shops and nice restaurants there if you fancy eating out. Calo millor is lovely too (€6 in a taxi) and is a bigger resort with lots of shops snd restaurants. Fantasy park is great which has go carts, bouncy castles etc for the kids.
The sunbed situation is really bad with selfish guests reserving them before they are ready to sit on them or not returning to them until the afternoon but you get this in most hotels. We just went to the waterpark and queued up from 9.30 am and got a sunbed in there. The waterpark is brilliant for all ages of kids (and adults).
One other downside is people letting their young children help themselves to food and drink in the restaurants which meant spillages and the desserts being messed up, but like with the sun lounger situation it’s the parents that are allowing this to happen so not the hotels fault.
We met some lovely people and All in all we had a great time here and would definitely return.
Just go with an open mind and remember this is s 3 star hotel which definitely meets the requirements in my opinion.
The main swimming pool is lovely slightly cold but very refreshing when the weather was good the splash park is great for kids of all ages and the adults enjoyed it too the bar in the splash park only serves beer and soft drinks so if you are looking for spirits it’s a bit of a walk to the other side of the resort but not a major issue. There are plenty of life guards around the pool and splash park and they are very observant which was great as I felt my kids were always safe.
Rooms are very basic but we only spent minimal time in there so wasn’t a issue but if you are in a ground level apartment you will find ants so if this is going to be a problem request a higher level room the reception staff are lovely and very keen to help so can’t see this as a problem. Rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels are provided. The shower is great very good pressure and always hot water.
The location of the hotel is a little bit of an issue as it’s around a 20-30 minute walk from the beach and the nearest town however there is a free bus service that will take you there that runs pretty frequently or around €5 in a taxi. I would recommend going to the beach as it’s beautiful and has crystal clear water.
The animation team are very good they always made an effort and are very friendly we found the entertainment a little bit hit and miss of an evening but I think it will improve as we came as the season is just starting.
Overall this is a great hotel for family’s plenty to eat and drink and plenty to keep the kids entertained thank you to the staff and keep up the good work would happily return to this hotel.
We absolutely loved the hotel so much going on and for the end of season.
The room was great, plenty of room for our family of 3 and clean and tidy. Cleaners came in everyday leaving fresh towels etc.
Food was lovely although did get quite busy at times one of the restaurants was closed and I think this was needed as it was pretty busy, also pool bar closed which again would have made a difference.
The staff were fantastic, big shout out to the entertainment's team Pavel, Thomas, Thomaz, Janey and Tatiana they were absolutely amazing and put on some great shows and also made sure people got involved coming round chatting etc, great games through the day.
Location is great beach is a 15 minute walk away, a free bus is provided most of the day.
Water park was fab and my son loved it. Overall pleasantly surprised.
The rooms are very basic although kept clean, I was in room 179 and with a large tree outside my balcony I got very little Sun and it was very gloomy inside the room.
The food is ok as are the drinks but one thing I hated was that apart from inside the restaurants every drink is served in a plastic breaker I can understand this around the pools but not by the bar's and in the evening. I did ask and was told it was for safety reasons but this doesn't seem to apply if you pay extra for a cocktail when you then get a real glass.
Most of the staff are good so no complaints there.
The cost of a safe in your room is 32 Euros for a week which is expensive compared to most hotels, I can't really understan why hotel's have to charge at all.
To summarise it was an ok holiday that's all. Would I recommend it or go back sorry but no.
We were nervous about this holiday given the current COVID situation, masks are mandatory in shops, restaurants (apart from when seated) and reception areas and we felt that guests were very respectful of this and for that reason it felt safe and otherwise normal.
There are plenty of choices for food with the main restaurant, a pizzeria and a smaller snack restaurant and the snack bar in the splashback, food can get a bit repetitive if you're not very adventurous (like me) but we found it tasty and had no complaints, just as you'd expect from an all inclusive. There were sometime queues but they go down quick enough and again no more than you'd expect at a busy all inclusive. The bars can sometimes get a little busy but the queues go down fairly quickly, we mostly stuck to Pepsi and Mahou with the occasional cocktail and though I've seen some negative comments about the beer and cocktails we found them to be perfectly fine.
Can't really comment on the entertainment, love the idea of the outdoor circus type tent and we did visit a few times but the actual shows start at 10pm which is a little late for us (mini disco at 9pm but our 10 year old has slightly outgrown that), this is the main reason for the rating, had the main entertainment been a little earlier I'd have probably given it a 5.
The pools are great with something for everyone, beware that if you want a spot around the main pool you have to get your towel down early, we saw people up and about as early as 5.30am on the morning we left. We preferred to spend our pool time at the splashpark which opens at 10am and you can generally find loungers throughout the day, if you want to guarantee a certain spot people tended to queue from around 9.30am which gives you plenty of time to have breakfast before heading down there.
All staff were friendly and helpful, special mention to Mike in the splashpark snack bar, what a lovely cheerful guy, always had a smile on his face and happy to have a laugh and joke with you!
You can grab the free bus down to the beach but we preferred to have a walk down in the evening, it's a nice 20-25 minute stroll down to the front then and then you can walk along as far as you like. We chose Bouganvilla after previously visiting another Globales hotel (Los Patos Park) and we had a fantastic time at both so would not hesitate to return or indeed try another of the Globales hotels.
Finally, also just want to say thank you for the little happy birthday message and sweets left in my room on my birthday, lovely touch!
We were staying in a two room appartement. It had two single beds put togeher, a sleeping couch, a very small kitchen ( with no pots of pans?) and a bathroom.
Everything you need is here however everything is dated. The beds are very hard and you can feel the springs thru the fabric.
Swimmingpools and slides are great. There is something for all ages and all Pools have a lifeguard.
Food in the restaurant is pretty good. It offers something for everyone and it is pretty fresh. We didn't get to try the Italian restaurant as it was closed. Maybe this was the cause of the biggest flaw of our Stay here, the bars and restaurant were too crowded. This caused long waiting lines at the entrance and the buffet, pretty annoying.
Good to mention that only the cheap liquor was included and if you wanted a real beer or a real cocktail you had to pay extra. Also, no good coffee anywhere 😢
Staff was working very hard and were friendly however didn't offer real service as you woud expect at a 4 star place. so basically you had to do everything yourself. Get your own drinks, Carry your own bags to your room and back and arrange your own poolbeds.
Cleaning of the room and the rest of the park was very good.
Evening shows were okay, nothing more of less.
There was also a bus tintje Beach running several Times a day which is ofcourse very nice.
WiFi connection didn't work at all, so be sure tot have your own 4g available.
Overall a pretty good 3 star hotel which delivers on promise but nothing more.
