Catering mainly for German tour parties, the Valentin Reina Peguera is situated a short walk from the sea front, bars and restaurants. In the Covid era, face masks are mandatory in corridors, lifts and restaurant self service areas. Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance to the restaurant, in the lifts and at reception. The hotel is clean and well maintained, although the decor is a bit dated. The restaurant has great food with a good choice every day - compliments to the chef, he or she has done a great job. We had both breakfast and dinner here. Evening entertainment so late in the season was better than expected.
If you’re hiring a car, the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, but there two free council car parks and street parking available close by. In November we didn’t have a problem with parking, but in the high season this could be an issue. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly. Bedrooms are equipped with a fridge and a safe at a cost of €15 plus a €10 deposit. Free wifi. Management gave us a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift which was a nice touch. We paid extra for a sea view room. I think this was worth the extra, as the alternative would be the road or the buildings next door and we enjoyed the morning and evening views from our balcony. A nice stay, we enjoyed our time here.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, it is so important in order to keep on improving. Is particularly great reading you noticed our spotless cleanliness. Hygiene is so important for us at our hotel for the safety of our guests and staff. On the other hand, we regret that you have carried the impression that our hotel is only for Germans. In our hotels we take all our guests into account, regardless of age or nationality, and we try to offer our best services to all our clients. We are glad that overall you enjoyed a nice vacation in our hotel, we hope to see you soon in a near future. Best wishes, Joan Mulet and all the team at Valentin Reina Paguera.

I stayed for 6 days as a young solo female traveller(from the 29th of June until the 4th of July), and from the moment I stepped in the hotel I was greeted by a welcoming and smiling staff and with a glass of champagne(which I was very happy about after a long shuttle ride), and got the key to my room, even though I was a little too early.
Throughout my stay I was greeted by the staff with A smile in the lobby, restaurant and pool area, and felt very welcome and secure.
I had breakfast included, and was very satisfied with the variety and the quality, especially the chef who makes omelettes and pancakes.

I definitely recommend getting the double room with a sea view, as it has a beautiful view of the beach and city, and the room was very nice as well(and had a bottle of cava). The cleaning staff was very good and effective, and always smiled and said hello when you met them.

The pool area is nice and clean, and has a bar with very reasonable prices(as a Danish person and considering the current inflation), and with a calm aura as there are no children running around. It was never hard getting a sunbed, as they have plenty, and lots of tables and chairs as well. There are also no tall buildings around to cover the sun, so you could lay there all day.

The hotel location was prime, as it was right by the beach and the streets with shopping and restaurants. It’s close to basically everything fun.

The entertainer was a young woman who was very engaging and smiling with everyone, and put a lot of work into making both pool gymnastics, drink tastings and bingo. She always came and greeted me and talked with me about my trip whenever she saw me.

I would definitely book this hotel again if I return, just an amazing experience and a very professional staff. Generally a place where all the guests seem happy, calm and taken care of.

I stayed for a short break with my friend. The reception staff were very pleasant and polite. A nice touch was the glass of cava on arrival.
The rooms were spotless, we upgraded for 10 euros a night for a sea view, and I felt it was well worth the money. The beds were incredibly comfy, with lovely fluffy pillows. Only faults I could say about the room was that they provide a fridge, kettle, but not the tea, coffee milk, sugar, thought that would have been provided as standard being a 4 star hotel. We only had two electric sockets in the room, would of benefited with one or two more. Also the rooms were incredibly noisy, you could hear fellow holidaymakers talking next door.
The restaurant food was very nice, obviously focused for the German clientele, but we found plenty to our liking. Fresh and hot from the buffet. There was a bit of confusion as to where we were supposed to sit to eat at night. You could sit where you wanted in the mornings, but apparently not at night, we weren't aware of this. They put us with 3 other German holiday makers on the first night. There were plenty of spare tables, so thought it would be OK to sit where we sat for breakfast the following evening, as no one was ever sat at this table. Big no no!!. The restaurant staff were quite rude to us, told us we had to move, didn't explain why, we apologised. Allowed to sit at the table that night. Then Daniel, I think he was the Restaurant manager, Maitre'd, he then came over, he was quite aggressive in his manner, telling me off once again for not being in our apparently allocated table. I felt very embarrassed, told him there was obviously a communication error, and apologised yet again. He was very intimatidating, and I was felt to feel extremely uncomfortable. Im a 56 year old lady, not a naughty 5 year old. Also we arrived slightly later the one evening, and my god, you were made to feel unwelcome. They took the food servers off, cutlery and food away, felt extremely rushed. The Hotel should provide a drinks menu in the restaurant, as you don't know the prices of any of the drinks, and wine was very expensive.

The pool towels were nice and thick, and free too, if you kept them for the duration.

Entertainment was lacking quite considerably, but we put that down to being the start of the season.

All in all, a good hotel, spotless, comfortable and in a great location. Just think some of the little things regarding interaction with holiday makers could have been much better from the restaurant staff, as Daniel did mar my experience of this hotel. I have travelled all over the world and have never come across such an intimidating man. He never said hello or even smiled, and was not a good representation of the rest of the hotel staff, who seemed to go above and beyond.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review. We are thrilled to read that you enjoyed your short break with your friend and that the rooms, food, and location were to your liking. On the other hand, we are very concerned by your comments about the restaurant and our staff. These are not comments that we take lightly and please be assured that we will proceed to investigate, as it does not represent our values nor our standards. Thank you very much for your feedback. The hotel was very clean and that was its main plus point. It is also easy walking distance to the Boulevard and beaches. Reception staff were polite and professional. Breakfast was average. The food at dinner was generally good, though a number of dishes were overly salty.

Cleaning staff both in the dining room and those who clean the rooms need significant additional training to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner. Some dining room staff were rude and thoroughly unprofessional in their behaviour. Room cleaners often talked loudly and/or sang loudly or even shouted to each other down the corridor in the early hours of the morning (7.30 onwards). Noise can be heard from both rooms above and adjacent to your room.

Cigarette smoke comes into not only your balcony, but also into your room if you have sliding door open and someone is smoking next door on their balcony.

While the hotel has a C02 monitor, staff were unaware of the limits for C02 in the dining area which was unacceptably high on the morning after a very large group suddenly arrived (and of which guests already staying at the hotel were not made aware of ) and allowed large numbers of guests in at the same time, without monitoring C02 levels or controlling and avoiding the congregation of large numbers of people in close proximity, especially in the central area where people went to take their food from the buffet. It is deeply disappointing and concerning that this hotel appears to be placing profits over health and safety.

Staff at all levels from the top down need significant training on matters of health and safety.

Dear Guest, Your review serves as great motivation to our team and will help other travellers make an informed choice on their accommodation during their visit to Mallorca. It’s particularly great reading you noticed and appreciated our spotless cleanliness and our unbeatable location. Naturally I am terribly disappointed that our staff members did not show case the usual level of hospitality which we pride ourselves on and I have shared your feedback with the entire team at he hotel.  Please be assured that this is not a usual occurrence at the hotel and I do hope that we have the chance to welcome you back to the hotel in the future. If you are returning to the hotel please contact me directly so that I can personally oversee your stay with us.  As well, we want you to know that we do empathize with you and appreciate your preference for more tranquil accommodation, as clearly the basic requirement of any good hotel is providing their guests with the opportunity to get a good night sleep. However, it is also our goal to provide all our guests a splendid holiday experience and we try our best to do so with a well-organized distribution of facilities and time tables to ensure that our guests with the desire to relax are able to do so. It is unavoidable to have guests who choose to party elsewhere of an evening, return to our hotel late at night and unfortunately not all guests are as equally respectful of others with regards to noise and for this we apologize. I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review, and hope we may welcome you back to our hotel in the near future.  Best wishes, Joan Mulet and all the team from Valentín Reina Paguera

Just checked in today and am already delighted with my choice. As someone who travels frequently, it isn't often I'm impressed. However, I can't fault Valentin Reina. Check-in was quick. Although I was early, I only had to wait 20 minutes for my room with a glass of cava. The room is on the 10th floor, with spectacular views, spacious and fantastic facilities - fridge, Hugh quality vegan toiletries, bottle of cava, large balcony, robe & slippers. The room is spotlessly clean. Entertainment can clearly be heard in the room and runs until 11 pm - this might be an issue for some. Every member of staff has been fabulous so far. Pool towels are provided for free and can be replaced for €1.10 each time. Location is great, lots of supermarkets, shops & restaurants nearby, volleyball Court near too

We were a group of 4 ladies who have been travelling together for 15yrs and research our hotels diligently. This we all agreed was the best we have been to and we're just blown away by the quality of our rooms..food and the entertainment..and by the incredibly kind and lovely staff. We never before did a half board holiday, but it was brilliant..we were able to do our day trips after filling up on their delicious breakfast..unbelievable choice and then to return to our beautiful individual rooms, with huge balconies, amazing sea views, enjoy a pre dinner drink. It was great not to have to go out looking for restaurants , particularly when you have a larger group and just settle and enjoy dinner at your own pace..the food was amazing.. from quail to prawns..everything cooked to your desire..fab cheeses and dessert..and the local wine was wonderful..at 9.30 the shows began..we remained at our tables and sampled the cocktails..couldn't believe the quality of the singers..very late nights full of fun. The hotel is so well located..we had a car for a few days which we parked in the public car park opposite hotel. The bus is a 5 min walk and costs 4 euro to centre of Palma..local shops and beach mins away..we intend going back next year with a larger group..we'll done to all at this hotel and thank you for an amazing stay..Marian +3

Lovely welcome at check in, glass of Prosecco. Reception staff so friendly and helpful. Young man who checked us in spoke perfect English. Booked a sea view room, well worth the small amount extra. Room has balcony with table and chairs, plenty of wardrobes and hangers, safety deposit box (chargeable), plenty of towels and toiletries, controllable air con. Kept beautifully clean by daily maid service.
Meals were warm, my pet hate is cold food that should be served warm, no such problem here. Plenty of variety and high quality. Staff very attentive.
Lovely warm outdoor pool set in picturesque gardens. Plenty of Sunbeds always available. 2 large towels supplied free by hotel for use on Sunbeds or beach.
Entertainment team do just that, they entertain and make you smile every day.
Reasonable indoor gym with a good set of dumbbells.
Location is right in the centre of Paguera, only 5 minutes from bars and main beach. Having said that, no intrusive noise fro bars at night, totally quiet.
Criticisms - only minor points, room corridors and lifts are boiling hot as they have no air con. Price of wine at meals, paid 30 and 24 Euros, a bit too expensive.
If you’re going to Paguera, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

We spend a week in this hotel and I can only recommend it! Due to problems with online transaction sum limits on my card, the booking site cancelled my booking. However, couple calls to the hotel resolved this issue (I do not remember the name of the guy that I called with) - and the hotel rebooked our rooms with no extra charge.

Upon arrival, the receptionist ladies offered us cold towels to refresh ourselves from the heat and glasses of sparkling wine. It formed a welcoming first impression. We had a late dinner prepared in the restaurant; we could pick from many options even such late (22:00).

We were very happy with the hotel overall. The rooms were comfortable to spend the week in and restaurant offered plethora of options (there were so many that we were unable to pick all of them!). Every evening, there was different program at the pool/bar. Magic shows, Cuban nights, bingo every day, violin performance)...

Do not forget! You can ask for a free beach towel at the reception!

This was a long weekend for my daughter and myself.
We arrived late at night, at reception we were told there was some food left for us in the restaurant albeit we weren’t hungry at this time ,(but it was a nice touch ).. we managed to eat some bread cheese & ham.
The room was a little dated but nonetheless it was spotless and the beds were very comfortable.
The breakfast was good and a decent selection to accommodate everyone’s tastes. The evening meal was okay too.
First day we stayed around the pool. There are lots of sun beds so we didn’t have any trouble choosing where we wanted to be. Beach towels were given at reception and can be changed every day.
All the staff are very pleasant and friendly, a special mention to Kitty who we noticed worked all day and in the evenings , engaging with all the guests, a real treasure, such a great person.
On venturing out, the hotel is minutes walk to the beach, shops restaurants and a few bars. So perfect location.
I would definitely return to this hotel and certainly recommend to family and friends.

We visited for Sunday lunch. It was very busy but the service was excellent. We had starters and main courses (yellowfin tuna ‘special’) and ordered veg/chips, which was far too much. Had to leave quite a bit, as the portions are generous. Didn’t have room for pud (😒). The only slight downside is that it’s very noisy as there are no soft furnishings to absorb the sound.
