AluaSun Torrenova earns praise for its spotless premises and family-friendly vibe, with guests frequently applauding the clean rooms and inviting pools. While the hotel's location is a hit for its beach proximity and local amenities, some visitors advise that the trek up the nearby hill can be taxing. The service is generally commended for its friendliness; however, experiences with staff can vary. Travelers appreciate the varied entertainment options, yet the rooms often receive critique for being outdated and not well soundproofed, which can affect the noise level. Despite the all-inclusive package having some restrictions, many find the hotel provides good value overall.

Hotel was kept clean and the staff around the pools, restaurant and bar worked hard. We were disappointed with the evening entertainment as there wasn’t much. We were all inclusive and didn’t mind the new rules of three drinks at lunch and dinner as if you wanted other drinks at the bar they were really discounted prices. We found the food very bland particularly at dinner and ended up going out for some evening meals. We had a pool view which was nice initially but realised the first morning it meant you were woken very early by the cleaning machines around the pool. We would have shut over the doors but the air-con didn’t seem to be switched on. The bed dipped in the middle and our room wasn’t brushed out or mopped during the duration of our stay. The location of the hotel is probably more suited to younger people as it’s up quite a steep hill. We wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Booked as a family of 7 adults in 4 rooms on floor 5.
Check in and check out was efficient and staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Hotel was clean throughout and the rooms well equipped and comfortable.
Beds have a memory foam mattress and pillows were comfy.
Rooms have air con ( not that powerful), fridge, kettle and safe for which you have to pay a small weekly charge.
Widescreen TV with UK channels ,hairdryer, and shampoo and shower gel provided in the bathroom.
Restaurant has a wide variety of foods of a decent quality ,however very little choice for vegetarians. The new " all inclusive " rules of 3 drinks with lunch and dinner isnt that restrictive as the price of additional drinks is cheap and there is an " all you can drink for 4 euros" offer available.
Snack bar by the pool serves hot food and salads all day which proved popular.
There are 3 pools, two for kids and the main pool which is manned by a lifeguard.

The hotel is in a great location with a 10 minute walk to the beach, bars and shops ,however it is at the top of a steep hill which some may find challenging.
We had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel and cant complain about anything.

Firstly would like to say that the place is very clean, cleaners come in every morning to make the beds etc, and the staff were very helpful and polite during our stay.
However we started our holiday in a room near the front of the hotel (street side) and above the reception area which meant for 2-3 nights we had a lot of broken see due to noise outside the complex which consisted of people coming in late, conversations and drunk people making noises and shouting. My partner addressed this issue on our second day, they couldn’t change our rooms that day but told us to return to the reception the next day to be moved, we then (at midday) on the next day got moved to the back of the hotel with a pool view, since we moved rooms we have had a better nights sleep, feel more involved and well can’t complain about the lovely pool view from the balcony.

We noticed on posters that you pay an extra €5 a night each to upgrade to a pool view, however we got this due to a complaint about the noise.

The location is great as only a 5 min walk to the beach and closest bars/restaurants, only 5-7 min walk from magaluf and around a 20-25 min walk to Palma Nova.

Booked to stay here for a week all inclusive, arrived and the room we were given was a room with a double bed a single bed and a playpen in it and one sliding wardrobe for our clothes, absolutely no space for our 3 cases & the pram.

Checked out the bathroom and only a walk in shower and very narrow hand basin, how was i supposed to wash my 1yr old? The balcony was facing onto the back street. I spoke to the receptionist and explained there wasn't even enough space to push the pram out to balcony and it felt very claustrophobic, he told me all the double rooms are the same size and if I wanted a bigger room then I would need to pay extra!

Went down to pool around 9.30am and every bed & parasol was reserved by towels, only available beds were 2 levels down beside the babys foot pool. If ypu are not down to beds before 8.30am then you have no chance of getting a bed beside main pool!!

Went up for a beer & a soft drink and the girl asked me for 2 euro, when I explained I was all inclusive she then explained that didn't matter, all Alcohol has to be paid for and that its half price!?

The location of the hotel is at the top of 2 steep hills, this wouldn't matter if you were going to stay in the hotel all week but if you go to beach or bars & restaurants then you have to face the hills on your way home or pay for a taxi. Not good for anyone with prams or health conditions like back aches or knee/leg aches.

The hotel entertainment in the hotel is very poor, must be on a budget!

Good morning We apologize for the inconveniences. That´s right all the standards rooms have the same size, We work actually with 3 kind of rooms: Standar, family and suite, and the last two kind of rooms are considered upgrate from the standard one in case you were interested on it. As far as the drinks are concerned that´s absolutely right- There is a Calvia´s law that affect to torrenova, magaluf and Calvia that even If the clients payed for All Inclusive they have to pay the alcohol frinks as well, that´s a new law that came out this year. We are sorry about it. Your tour operator should have told you. Thank again for you comment Team Alua Torrenova

Recently stayed here the first week in April and had an amazing holiday. We loved this hotel and area that much so we have already booked to return. 3 adults & 7yr old child.

Rooms were lovely and spacious, bright and clean with modern furnishings. The bathrooms were really nice with huge walk in showers and a lovely sink area to get ready at.
Loved the view over the pool and surrounding area at night. Nice and peaceful at night which meant we all had great sleeps and the beds were so comfortable which was a welcome treat.

We were all inclusive and had no complaints with the restricted drinks as the drinks at the bar were heavily discounted for AI guests so we never paid more than 1/2 euros for a drink out with the AI meal times.
We all loved the meals at all times of day especially lunch & dinner. Plenty of choice for varied diets and tastes we were all spoiled for choice and looked forward to dinner each night. Food was well presented, labelled and hot and the staff were always on hand to replenish the dishes constantly.

We found every member of staff very friendly and helpful and our daughter loved the kids entertainment with Sally and the team, thank you.

Only one bit of feedback would be that a kettle and tea/coffee tray in the rooms would be an amazing plus point for this already fabulous hotel. Once you’ve gone back to your room later at night and fancy a nightcap coffee you have to go back downstairs to the self service machine in the restaurant or go to the bar. Would be nice to be able to make your own when you want in your room.

Can’t wait to return again and looking forward to our next trip to the Alua Sun Torrenova. Thanks for a great holiday!

Fantastic stay at a clean, modern and friendly hotel. We have stayed in many similar all inclusive hotels and this is certainly one of the best. It’s like each member of staff has been hand picked based on how friendly they are. Every person went to efforts to make us welcome and catered for.
The hotel, particularly restaurants and pools are noticeably clean. Good covid measures in place.
Food is high quality and plentiful. Restaurant staff are constantly topping up, maintaining and ensuring everything is in tip-top condition. Even management get involved, no job too big or small. Food can be a little repeatative but not so much of an issue when it’s good food. Snacks (hot food) available all day.
Chefs would go to efforts for our toddler with food allergies to provide plain potatoes instead of buttered etc without prompting when we asked about ingredients.
Rooms have really comfy mattresses. Bathroom has a really good hairdryer so no need to take one. Wardrobes and storage great.
Only downside is thin walls, meaning (noisy) neighbours can be heard. But management staff were quick and keen to rectify this and made it clear that they are there to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Also, flooring around baby pool and play area could do with replacing but no big deal, I’d imagine it’s on their list of jobs because everywhere else has been updated.
If you have kids, be rest assured that Sally and the team will make this stay one to remember for your child - making everyone feel welcome and valued, giving them the time of day!
Location is on a slight hill down to beach, restaurants and shops but manageable with our pushchair. Far away enough from Maga strip.
Don’t hesitate to book!
Special thanks to Simon, Tony, Sally, Paqui for making our stay wonderful.

The positives….great location walking distance to Palma nova and Magaluf. The beach’s at both are lovely and the bars on the front are great.
In the hotel rooms very clean and beds are so comfortable
Pool area is nice and if you are all inclusive you can get beers and cocktails for €2 (you only get wine or beer at lunch and evening meal inc max of 3 drinks with each meal) the staff are all pleasant
The food is not great it’s fine quality wise but very much the same for lunch and evening meal. We ate out in in the evening after the first night. It’s only the food that lets this hotel down. It’s great base for any age group was a good mix of guests

We just arrived home yesterday after a Monday to Friday stay and oh my gosh what an amazing week we had.

Our flight was delayed two hours going so we arrived at 3am to the hotel, tired and ready for a sleep. The reception staff were amazing and quick to get us checked in, our hotel room was absolutely spotless and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The pool area was also spotless, with glasses getting picked up constantly. The pool area also had lots of floats you could use! No rush for a sunbed in the morning and there was always lots of space.

Now the food. UNREAL!!! We were all inclusive and every meal we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner was absolutely amazing. The food was different themes each night for dinner and also had cocktails handed to us when walking into the restaurant. There was so much choice and everything was fresh and warm. The snack bar during the day was also so tasty! Alcoholic drinks during the day we had to pay for because of the Spanish laws however nothing was over €2 and were all amazing.

The hotel sits at the top of a hill, one way down takes you to st matias beach, the other to magaluf beach. Both are just a 5/10 minute walk away with lots of bars to get a drink from.

We’re already looking at coming back next year as it was so good.

Just got back from staying here for a week in September 2022 with my husband and baby and I wanted to leave an honest review for families who are thinking of staying here or have already booked.

First of all the hotel is very clean and modern throughout and is set in a great location. 5 minutes walk to the beach and local beach bars / restaurants. The hotel itself is on a bit of a hill but we didn’t have a problem with the pram going for walks everyday, although if you have difficulty walking then you may find it extremely hard.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Air con is amazing! The hotel receptionist kindly gave us a spare card to keep in the room so the air con stayed on all day as it was super hot (30-35).
There are no baths throughout the hotel so if you are travelling with little ones, bare this in mind as we didn’t know until we got there so had to shower with the baby which isn’t a big deal but thought I’d note.

If you’re a light sleeper or your little ones are, bring a white noise machine as the hotel can be a bit noisy at night from other guests coming up from the kids evening entertainment (which by the way seemed good and my daughter enjoyed watching before bedtime).
Even though it’s 5 mins from Magaluf, we didn’t see any party goers, it was 95% families and the rest were couples.

3 pools, baby one - which is great for toddlers as it has slides etc. One for slightly older children at waist length and then a big one which we used to take our baby in. Beware the hotel gets sun pretty much all day so you do struggle for shade for the kids.

The only downside to this hotel is the food. Breakfast was the best meal as this had a good selection but lunch and dinner was the same every day and was very random. I am not a fussy eater and I struggled after 3 days, so we ate out.

Do not go all inclusive! It’s not worth it with the new Spanish laws. Only basic wine and beer from a pump is available at meal times so we just paid for cocktails and spirits (only €2 per drink so super cheap) but considering the food wasn’t great and the drinks weren’t either, I wish we went self catering or bed and breakfast as we didn’t use the all inclusive option much. There isn’t anything for babies to eat, lucky we planned ahead and brought stuff for our daughter.

Would I recommend this hotel? Yes for families who eat the standard buffet food and with small children. Couples - no!
I come back and enjoyed our holiday very much I just wish I chose a different board option.

Good morning Madame Maisy Thank you for your comment As far as the all inclusive is concerned that´s right, there is a law from Calvia Town Hall and people have to pay a amount of money in order to consume alcohol but water and soft drinks with all inclusive are totally for free and halb board water is for free as well. About the meals in the restaurant, we are sorry to hear that, we offer three special days in the evening like asiatic food , mexican food etc and a wide range of food during the week, We hope madame you enjoyed your holiday with us and thank you for your comment. Kind Regards Team Alua Sun Torrenova

Just back from our trip to Aula Sun. I would not recommend this as a place to stay for various reasons.

We arrived around 3am and made our way to our room. The rooms are clean and everything you'd need for a few days away. As I said, we arrived very late and we're unfortunately woke shortly after 7.30am by the maids talking, laughing and generally making noise right outside our room. We had to move rooms, the second was not much better but we bought earplugs which seemed to dim the noise.

We had paid for the all inclusive only to be informed that the beer in the bar had to be paid for separately. The glasses in the restaurant were tiny and you were allowed 3 of these with dinner. The 3 glasses probably wouldn't equate to a pint.

The food is very fish based so if you don't eat fish the selection is very limited. It's also very repetitive. The snack bar is self service for chips and burgers but as it's outside they are usually cold. I took some food into the bar as it was very cold outside and the lady behind the bar shouted at me that it was not allowed and I had to eat outside.
There is not much to do during the day when it's cold as alot of the bars ect in the area seem to have closed down.

As previously mentioned, the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. We needed cash to play pool and had to walk around 2 miles for an in service cash machine. We then got back to the hotel soaked from the heavy rain and asked for our notes to be changed to coins for the pool tables and were told no by the bar man Jose M, we had to go to reception. As there were people checking in, we had to wait for 10 mins just to get change.

Jose M behind the bar was rude to myself and my husband on multiple occasions. One example was when we saw other customers eating nuts and crisps and we asked for the same and we're told "No, snacks are for paying customers only". Considering we had paid a premium for the all inclusive, I feel this was unfair and defeats the point of all inclusive.

The pool was only opened from 10.30 and then was closed again from 4. Considering the weather was temperamental, we would have liked to have access to the pool between the rain.

We did have some lovely experiences with the hotel, the entertainment staff go above and beyond and are absolute balls of energy. Santiago behind the bar was also great and friendly.

Overall, I would not recommend this as a place to stay. This is very much a "pay for what you get" hotel. It was the bare minimum in terms of acceptable standards but if I was to return, I'd definitely pay a bit more to stay elsewhere.
