Nice enough hotel but overpriced for what it is. Better 4 star options availability at half the price. Horrible food. Really bland and poor quality meat. Also alot off ants all over the bedroom floor. Staff not very helpful. No hotel entertainment. Cocktails were good and reasonably priced. Overall i would say its just about a 4 star hotel not anything more. Probably wouldn't stay again because there are much better options available.

Upon arrival at the Elba Sunset, we were astounded by the beautiful views from the lobby. The reception staff were wonderful, very accommodating and offered us a glass of cava whilst we filled out the paperwork for the room. The room was lovely, a good size and great views from the 'side sea view room', and the addition of complimentary sunglasses and straw hats was also great! The location and views are certainly unrivalled by anywhere else in Mallorca, however unfortunately the same can't be said for the food. The continental breakfast was lovely, but the cooked options (apart from the fresh pancakes and omelettes) were dire. The bacon isn't bacon as Brits know it, and the only sausages available were chicken or hot dogs. The lunch food at the Terrace bar was average, however you had to pay for the privilege of this and it was pretty similar to what was served for dinner. On the whole, we are very good eaters and will eat almost anything, however we really struggled to find food we would like/enjoy at the evening buffet. The fresh cooked fish and meat was nice, however if you're having fish beware that they are likely to be unfilletted (contain bones). Overall, we loved the hotel but unfortunately the food has probably prevented a return trip.

Good points: new and modern hotel, great views, amazing food, and outstanding staff at the buffet especially Baljinder. However, our 1 year old son fell ill in the middle of our stay here, and would wake up crying and very fussy in the mornings until his medicine kicked in by which time breakfast would be over. I thus requested my husband to go and get a small bowl of oatmeal for our child from the breakfast buffet downstairs. What happened with my husband because of my request was absolutely shocking. A waiter named Ivan screamed very loudly at my husband (so that the whole buffet hall could hear) that he was “STEALING” food and that this was against the laws of Spain, implying and treating my husband as if he were a criminal! Mind you, the waiter knew our baby was sick, we were paying for half board, no room service was available, and room phones were not working! Of course, my husband became extremely angry and humiliated at this behaviour, and in retaliation made a plate of food for me as well, and shouted back at Ivan demanding to talk to the manager. One of the managers Juan came to the buffet hall, and instead of trying to understand the situation, he sided with the waiter and joined him in accosting my husband, and then demanded that my husband check out immediately! I found the manager Juan later and he apologised but it was too little too late. I would never stay here again because of this experience, which we felt was disproportionate and racist in nature.

I just knew Elba Sunset was going to be a dream the minute I saw the hotel. Very modern and designed beautifully. The rooms have plenty of space. We paid to have a sea view, which our room was situated in the middle giving us a full view of the sea, however some rooms view is half of the pool area and half sea. The room was fully equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, toothbrushes, safe etc, however you have to pay €20 to hire a iron but you will get this back at the end of your stay. It is worth mentioning too that check in is not until 3pm, which was rubbish for us as we paid for earlier flights so we was waiting around for a few hours before we could even get into the room. The pool area was the highlight, beautiful pool and not too deep. A few umbrellas was broken which was a shame as it got frustrating at times. But the best thing was that people was not hurrying in the morning to claim sunbeds, we had plenty of time to choose which bed we wanted which was nice. The hotel also provides you with pool towels which everyones uses - you can change these towels by asking the life guard at any point. The cocktails around the pool are amazing !! Breakfast I struggled with, simply because I am a picky eater. But the hotel served everything you could wish for, it’s just I found the quality was a bit poor on some ingredients. There is a chef at breakfast that cooks fresh omelettes at the choice of your toppings which was nice to have. The only disappointment I did encounter was The Bow restaurant…. The quality of the meat is very very very poor. The dishes are generally bland. The service is poor too, we had to hold our hands up every-time we wanted another drink or if we wanted to order something, this shouldn’t be the case. The views of the restaurant are beautiful, so its maybe worth going for that but don’t get your hopes up on the food. Location wise, the hotel is situated in the middle of palmanova (12 mins walk) and magaluf strip (7 mins walk). Both are steep walks so we only walked to both a few times, the taxi is €4 to and from the hotel back from both Palmanova and Magaluf. But don’t let this put you off the hotel as the cliental is very mature, there is no ‘party’ groups and the hotel is quiet on an night. Palmanova definitely has the best restaurants to eat from, I had some delicious meals here, you must try The Olive Tree or Rossini. Palma city is a bus journey away, however the buses are extremely unreliable, we waited 45 minutes for ours. It is €4 each to get to Palma, I would probably get a taxi next time to save waiting around. Overall, extremely nice hotel and very clean. Would definitely go here again if I was to visit Majorca. I had a well deserved relaxed stay.

Excellent customer service. Our trip had to be cut short and the receptionist and general manager were very accommodating. It was very much appreciated. A huge thanks to them. Nice rooms with a brilliant view. Had a few ants in ours but want can you do. Breakfast was nice, and felt clean with gloves being worn for the buffet. I would say it is not in Palmanova but rather Magaluf. It’s a bit of a walk up a hill if you are looking to venture out. Lots of sunbeds so no need to reserve.
