Reception area is ok and service friendly. Paid parking €10 per day. Hotel is old and rooms very tired. Double bed is actually 2 beds pushed together. Bathroom and water pressure average …old and dated. Location is good as it sits between the old and new town. Would not return and would seek a B&B in the old town next time.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our stay at Frigiliana. The hotel is easy to find and there is underground 24hr car parking directly opposite the hotel for €10/24hrs, making for an easy walk with luggage. The hotel is perfectly located. Our room looked out to the mountains and the old town, less than a 2min walk to the old town and a short walk to the new town. The rooms are well sized, clean, efficient aircon and we had a small balcony. Breakfast was varied and more than enough to start the day. Everything about this hotel is wonderful and we would definitely recommend staying here. On check in we were given 1 key. We later went back to ask for a second key, for a map and to enquire where the pool is located. At the time the receptionist was unhappy with having to stop talking with a collage to assist with our enquires. After our first day, we left 1 key in the room to allow the aircon to run while we were out walking to provide a cool room on return. On returning our ‘other’ room key would not allow us access to the room - we had to return to reception to have it reactivated. Our 2nd key had been taken from the room, therefore the room was extremely hot after being out all day. It appears the cleaners have cleaned the rooms taken our key from the slot and given it to reception, causing our room key to be cancelled. The same lady as check was at reception who stated the key must have been near our mobile, causing it to stop working - this was not the case. These two points are the only small annoyances we had, which are very minor, but nonetheless frustrating. Regardless, we would still recommend this hotel for its location, plunge pool, ample breakfast and close proximity to parking.

Having had to leave another hotel, in Nerja, due to uncleanliness, Hotel Villa Frigiliana was a very welcome place to arrive at. Our room was on the top (5th) floor, with great views to Frigiliana and the surrounding countryside. The room was spacious and clean with a small balcony. Hotel Villa Frigiliana is at the edge of the town of Frigiliana, which has often been judged as being one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. The staff at Villa Frigiliana could not have been more friendly and helpful. During our stay, I needed a cup of hotel water, quite late at night. A male staff member took me to the restaurant (closed at that time) and switched on the huge coffee making machine, so he could get hot water from it. A few minutes later, he gave me a cup of hot water, complete with saucer (drinks taste so much better in a cup and saucer:-)) . We had some friendly conversation and I returned to my room. The lady at reception was also very friendly and helpful. Both members of staff were excellent ambassadors for the hotel. We enjoyed Villa Frigiliana so much, that we extended our stay. The hotel does have a restaurant, providing buffet breakfast and either menu del día or a la carte dinner. We chose to dine in the village. However, the restaurant did appear to be popular with other guests. Thank you Hotel Villa Frigiliana!

I highly recommend this quaint hotel. All the rooms have balconies that open out over the village and offer the most stunning views....The hotel puts you right in the heart of Frigiliana. I Found the staff to be very helpful. My Spanish has become very rusty due to non use over the years and most of them were not fluent either, but they worked so hard to help with my questions. We spent 4 nights there and had a great time. The location of the hotel is superb. Breakfast costs 6 euros, but was a large buffet with plenty of fresh fruit and healthy choices which was much appreciated. After this great start, we were usually able to skip lunch and just enjoy the days adventures. The rooms are not large, but are more than adequate in size, and almost soundproof!! The beds were a little hard, as were the pillows. Rooms were very clean, pool area was sparkling and clean. Very nice hotel. Would stay there again with great enthusiasm

Stayed here for the 3 cultures festival so it was ideal being in the centre of the village. All rooms have westerly views across the village to the mountains and hills. The restaurant wasn’t open for dinner but that may have been because of the festival. Comfortable reasonably soundproof 3 star rooms with air con and small balcony to sit and enjoy the sun and views.
