We stayed at the hospederia for one night before walking the Liman trail (which was wonderful). The hostel is clean, tidy, and the rooms though small are nicely but simply decorated. The staff are friendly too, though we had little contact with them given the absence of breakfast (see below). Our double bed however was very small and really uncomfortable, and I can't understand why the hospederia provides only one bolster-type pillow for two people rather than two separate pillows - not good. It's a real disadvantage that they no longer do breakfasts too: we walked down to the main square at the end of the street and had desayuno there as we weren't starting our walk too early, but the cafe doesn't open that early and if you want to make a really early start it's a real nuisance

I'd stayed here before, two years ago, during an unusual "cold snap". As before, I was impressed with the cleanliness and local character of my compact single room. This time, as the weather was much warmer, I was very comfortable in my room at night. So I was happy and have awarded 5 stars this time. I paid 31 euros a night for the two nights I stayed this time.

Rosario and Baldomero were the perfect hosts. My Spanish was very poor and their English was limited but we managed to communicate and they kindly supplied a thermos of hot water upon request. Breakfast was minimal but included in the reasonable room rate and served in the outside courtyard. Our room was comfortable, clean and had a balcony with a sunset view over the hills and white houses of the town. We managed to find a car space nearby (Frigiliana has many narrow streets and limited parking) and we could walk to anything we needed in the town. It was a great place to explore the nearby beaches and Sierra Nevada. This is a small family run establishment that has a welcoming local feel to it.

Stayed here for one night in February 2012. Walked in from the Nerja Cave and walked out to Competa the next day. Had a small room with a single bed, but that was fine for me. Room was rather cold at night; however, the weather was unusual at this period. Breakfast was very functional (coffee + toast + jam + juice) but was included in the €30 that I paid. Overall, I was very content.
