Room was lovely with partial sea view. A good maid service was provided everyday, although towels were never changed in the 3 nights we were there. Wasnt a great deal of choice with the food, but what there was we enjoyed. Hotel in great position near the beach. Staff were all friendly. Was a good 3 star hotel and well worth what we paid. No entertainment at night and bar was very quiet, not much atmosphere, but did mean no queuing for drinks which was good.

Just returned back from a 5 day stay at this hotel and the hotel is not as bad as people are reviewing. The only thing we could actually fault Is that there is nothing to do in area for young couples . The hotel staff was very friendly, room was very good (room 1101) top floor very high . Food was ok , bit repetitive but nothing more expected in the price we paid . All in all a good few days away

This hotel was absolutely disgusting... I would even give it 1 star! The cleanliness and all inclusive was absolutely UNFORGIVABLE!!! No one cleaned our rooms for the duration of stay and if they did they did a pretty bad job of it! The food was revolting (we ate out everyday) The staff were SO rude to us it made us feel uncomfortable! The service we received was totally unacceptable. . Not to even mention the lack of pool facilities! Everything was mouldy and dirty! The atmosphere was shocking on a night. No music or entertainment. We was very disappointed in our stay. We have never stayed in such a terrible place before until we stayed at the Atismar.

Small hotel on 11 floors & only 97 rooms. Very quiet, (we were there Feb 11th for one week.) No street noise at all during our stay: we were facing the sea. Also no noise from other rooms/floors. Atismar is in a great location: only one road back from a lovely long promenade, with usual shops and bars; a lovely long sandy beach. 10 min stroll to Bus Station: we took a bus to Faro & then on to Tavira by train: train cheaper than the bus. Possible to walk to Villamoura. Taxi to airport took about 30mins. Lots of free on street parking, plenty of spaces during our stay; imagine it would be different in high season. Bicycle hire easily available. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, fresh towels every two days. Our room 1103, had a nice sized bathroom with a bath and shower and a connecting room for a bigger family. Efficient air-conditioning; heater in bathroom. TV. Hairdryer available from Reception. Safe available for small fee. Outdoor pool would probably always be in the sun in high season. Internet available in Reception area. Alll Inclusive drinks we sampled were of a decent quality: beer; brandy; sangria; really nice port; G&T. Food:- Breakfast very good: usual bacon, eggs, sausage etc with cereals, rolls, coffee ok. Lunch and dinner adequate with nice salad, soup, always two choices of meat and one of fish. Fresh fruit available plus small selection of desserts. Would definitely be happy to stay again: weather super too with average daytime at 18/19c.

What a disappointment. First night was disturbed by a very noisy large group of people. The breakfast was inedible; fried eggs with shell in them. No fruit except soft apples on offer. It was truly awful. We were given a picnic on the last day as we could not have breakfast due to flights leaving early which consisted of dried bread, soft apple, and a useful bottle of water. Cockroaches the size of a spoon head were in the bathroom. The room which was non smoking stunk of smoke which we could not shift. All the bedding was replaced but the room still stunk. The staff though were very helpful despite our endless complaints.

People what sort of prices is the local drinks in the bars and that , is it fairly cheap ?
Hi ! Well if you go for imported drinks like the ones we have in the uk then they work out about the same! If you go for local lager and local wine then it is a lot cheaper! Hope this helps! If you come out of the front of the hotel and turn left then take the road immediately left down the side of the hotel at the end just before you go on the beach is a great little cafe and we sat there for hours it was reasonably priced and great position for enjoying a bit of sun etc

Could someone tell me if you are allowed to smoke on balcony or in a smoking area please?
you can smoke on the balcony as they provide an ashtray there. the bar to outside is 10 seconds away so if you have kids you can nip out for a smoke and still see them, but the hotel is very safe.
