Matteo took us (two couples, a child and a baby) on a wonderful walk in the woods followed by a delicious, authentic lunch prepared by a real Italian mama... :-) We thoroughly enjoyed the company of two of Matteo's friendly dogs, and it was difficult to stop patting them, even though our truffle abundant lunch was dependent on their findings.... A unique and memorable experience we 2 couples had when truffle-hunting with Matteo and his family of dogs!! He educated us with slideshow first, then "the hunt" (successful in finding both white and black truffles), then a delicious lunch to taste these delicacies in his homemade pasta w truffles . He even demo'd how to carefully wash the prized finds.... More

We loved this experience and highly recommend it to anyone. My husband and I went truffle hunting with Matteo during our honeymoon, and it was the best thing we did in all of Italy. We learned all about the different types of truffles, how they grow, what they taste and smell like. Then we went out with Matteo and his... More

I was a little nervous because I had talked five other people into joining me on this adventure. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our two week trip to Tuscany. The farm sits high on a road that is not well marked, GPS is mandatory. The pot at the end of the rainbow was a charming... More

Matteo and his wife are super nice and genuine people. Matteo speaks both English and Italian and simply wants you to have a good time. Their property is beautiful and you can see all of Citta de Castello from his house. Awesome view!! Take the truffle hunting class!!! It's very informative and the truffle hunting itself is unforgettable. Also, they... More

I must say a beautiful farm and great host! Truffle hunting was an absolutely unforgettable experience! I highly recommend the truffle school because you will never forget it! I would happily return anytime of the year.

Though our GPS had a very hard time finding this place (and I wouldn't advise trying to find it in the dark, as it is not well-signed), when we did finally pull in -- well after normal hours -- we were made to feel exceptionally welcomed. Matteo himself baked us a lemon cake for our breakfast the next morning, then... More

Travelling Europe in a motorhome for three months and visiting eleven countries, we found this amazing site, high on a hill with spectacular views, the best of many. As it happened that morning, our host, Matteo, had organised a truffle hunt with some guests. The fruits of the hunt were prepared by Matteo and Elisa that evening as an excellent... More

During our road trip through Italy, we have picked this place to enjoy three days of Italian countryside. We relied on (other reviews posted on) tripadvisor and again it proved to be a wonderful stay. The location and region are simply wonderful. Not too touristic, but the real Italian rural life that we were looking to discover. Matteo, the guy... More

We had a great time here. We would recommend staying a night or 2 and really enjoy the surrounding area. The hunt was fun and special. Since we were with 1 other couple we had the opportunity to go to a private hunting ground. The best part of the hunt is of course the star, no not Matteo but Sole.... More
