This is a magical spot beautifully renovated by the owner in traditional style. It is very remote so next time I would hire a car. Having said that, Fabrizio was wonderful at organising pick ups/drop offs for us. I loved the peace and tranquility and Greve town is also lovely with nice restaurants and shops ( doesn't feel touristy) ....

The main problem with this is the accessability. Coming off the main road you face 2.5km of bumpy, rocky and mountainous track that is in no way appropriate for a car that doesn't have 4 wheel drive. Also, if you are using a hire car, there is a high risk of scratching it or gaining a puncture. If you dare...

We stayed in La Chisetta-- one should bring one's own groceries and the kitchen is simply equipped for basic meals. The building is the old compound chapel and it's full of charm and the views all around are breathtaking, not to mention the luxury of cooling off in your own private pool! Would absolutely recommend and would stay again. Incredibly...

We were blown away on our recent trip to Tuscany with this lovely property. Perfect for a group of 4 as we had 2 adjoining bedrooms. The views are spectacular, perfect after a full day hitting the wineries. Tables and chairs outside the rooms to view the valleys below. There is a path that leads down to Greve, about a...

We had separate house on top of the hill - Old Capella! View from here amazing on all directions! Vine yards, olive trees etc. Typical Tuscany landscape! You can walk from here to different directions, visit different small villages and have a meal in small restaurants. But you can also stay here and just relax, swim in a private pull...

Fantastic location in the Chianti countryside, with stunning views on all sides. Our room/apartment was a very generous size. We also got Marco to take us on a wine-tasting tour which was great fun. A couple of things to note: They will send you a warning about not following your GPS- listed to what they say!! The road to Greve...

Montegonzi provides a fabulous base from which you can visit everything Tuscan.Perched on a hill, the views are stunning. The units are clean and comfortable with a lovely rustic charm. The caretaker...

We were five people sharing two connected apartments. Fabrizio went out of his way to pick up our luggage at the bus stop in Greve, bring two of us to the property while the others went on to Panzano on the bus and then bring the two if us to Panzano to meet the others. We had a great time...

We scoured the internet for views on La Chiesetta and could find very little about the place, so if you are thinking of booking it, or have already booked, I hope this will help. La Chiesetta is part of the small hamlet at Castello di Montegonzi. It is a tiny villa set apart from the other apartments and used to...

“Make sure you have clear directions prior to going and have a good stock of food as nothing there. A working GPS would be good too, but maybe won't work anyway due to the remoteness of the place.”
