An old favourite have stayed here a few times over the years and never been disappointed. The location on the corner of the main square is superb with some great restaurants around it and a central point for exploring around Tuscany. Rooms on the small side but very clean and well maintained. Hotel staff pleasant and lovely people.

Greve in Chianti is the soul of Chianti region and heart of Toscana. At least for us. We have spent quite many summer holidays on the Tuscan hills and by the winyards during years. Now we wanted to refresh our memories while staying in Firenze. Luckily the Albergo was open, and not only that, it had gone through a change that appeared to be a success - new restaurant, interesting menu, tasty wines and cosy rooms. The staff was as friendly as fifteen years ago and the heated pool great to swim even in the end of October. Very relaxing hotel and in Greve You can find all you need to know about Chianti wines.

We stayed here one night. The hotel is right on the town square. The staff all very friendly and helpful. The young people working at the bar especially were very interesting and had great attitudes. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom small but adequate. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel which turned out to be a great decision. The food was delicious. We decided to have the 35 Euro meal which gave us 3 choices. I had one of the best Beef Tartare meals of my life, with fresh foie gras and an onion marmalade. My wife had the soup which was nice too. I then had the Pheasant which was delicious too. My wife had Prussian beef, done perfectly. A good wine list too and very good value wines. All in all a great find and highly recommended.

When in Greve, there is only one place to stay; At Albergo del Chianti. Right on the village Square, with a lovely garden and pool, a restaurant and a bar. Nice rooms and good beds. Clean and comfortable. And a friendly staff. We had a room with a view to the square - it was a new picture every day. A good breakfast was included our room-rate. The reception took care of all our problems, and direckted us when necessary. Their restaurant Diversus had good meals, and they had a very decent wine cellar. Book in good time, or you shall miss it. And that would be a pity. For You!

5 stars for location, right in the town square. It's a charming little town, but that's about where my complements end. Hotels photos make this place out to be larger, cleaner and newer than it is. Pillows were non existent slabs of thin foam and the bed was very worn and lumpy which made for a difficult nights sleep. If I'm in the region again, I will not be staying at this property.
