We stayed at Monte Poni for a week in September. We cannot possibly over-rate how wonderful it was. The location was quiet and private surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Deirdre was a wonderful, informative, helpful host. The accommodations were modern yet authentic and very clean and comfortable. It was jaw-dropping gorgeous. It was well-located for doing day-trips to many...

This is our second time staying at this lovely property. In the middle of the country side, yet close to two very small towns, so quite convenient. Awakened by crowing roosters, really nice. Peaceful and you feel more isolated than you are. Property has been lovely restored by the owner and is so comfortable. Great place to recharge and rest...

Monte Poni is exactly what you are looking for in a vacation in Tuscany. Fantastic view, great location, cool pool, super nice owner! Perfect place to relax but also close to the wonderful sights of the region. The reality is just as perfect as the pictures show, I can only talk in superlatives about this place. I highly recommend this...

We just returned from spending the month of June at Monte Poni. There is only one word to describe out stay — FANTASTIC! The first two weeks we had friends join us and the final two weeks our three adult children, their spouses, our seven grandchildren, another couple also celebrating their 50th anniversary and their oldest grandson were all at...

We spent four evenings at Monte Poni. I wish it would have been a whole week. Close to San Gimignano and Volterra. You do not want to miss Panzano, about 8 KM away, a quaint town with a world renowned butcher, Dario Cecchini. We wanted to go to Lucca, but spending a day on the property won over the day...

My family and I stayed at Monte Poni for a week, using it as a home base for our stay in Tuscany. It far exceeded my expectations! It is an authentic, rustic villa, formerly part of the Verrazzano family estate, and it has been restored into a captivating and wholly charming property by its talented owner, Deirdre Woode. We were...

Monte Poni has everything you could possibly need and want: Great location 3km from Greve in Chianti (very easy to find just off main road), incredible views, great amenities including beautiful gardens and pool but most importantly there is your host Deirdre. Deirdre communicated well leading...

We stayed in the La Torre apartment at Monte Poni in late May 2010. We were warmly greeted by Deirdre upon our arrival. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to where to find the freshest produce, cheese and meats. The restaurant she suggested, Lamole we loved so much we went back to twice! She even gave us...

My girlfriend and two other couples had an amazing time at Monte Poni. Deidre the owner was so helpful whether it was pointing out the right shops to get good food in the town of Greve, to helping set up wine tours and cooking classes. We really felt like we were staying at a family members house. The grounds were...

This is a great place to rent for an extended stay in Tuscany. There are three unts of varying sizes, all well-appointed with every amenity. Each has a full kitchen with adorable accessories. The pool is award winning fabulous and the location sublime for exploring the tuscan countryside. The owner is a true pro - she knows the area and...

Just driving up the drive to the property, gave us a feel of being away from hustle and bustle of the big city. make time to visit, VignaMaggio Vineyards, Leonardo Di Vinci painted the Mona Lisa there.
