The Hotel is simply amazing .. great location, very helpful stuff, wonderful and clean rooms with amazing terraces. There is also a great pool with terrific view to the sea. We spent 5 days there and we were sad to leave.
The staff here were brilliant! They really went the extra yard to get us an upgrade to our room and we were really pleased with the outcome. The pretty little gardens and patios and views at this hotel are worth the climb up its stairs from the road. It felt very private relaxing and quiet, exactly the chilled location and venue we were after. We arrived by hydrofoil from Naples Porto, journey was about an hour and smooth. The port at Ischia was small and busy with many taxi's available. The Taxi to the hotel was quick and cost us 15Euros but the drivers always wanted an extra 5 extra as tip. We had a room at the side of the hotel at first but asked for and received a upgrade to a room at the front with an amazing picture perfect seaview of the Aragonese Castle and the island of Capri in the distance. The hotel had a really cute small private pool, and also partnered with the Gardenia Mare restaurant just across the road to allow discounts for guest to use their private beach at 10Euros a day. We did this for 3 of the 5 days we stayed. The Gardenia Mare restaurant is a fantastic place for lunch and romantic dinner by the sea (bit pricey tho). They also provide discounted meals for guests at Hotel Delfini just up the road. The hotel is located near the Aragonese Castle, you can take a bus for a couple of euros or get a bus pass for several days to a week, however if your up for it, its a pleasant (but somewhat hilly) 20 min walk with a view of the coast, to the cute promenade along Via Luigi Mazzella, make sure you visit Ristorante Pizzeria Aglio olio & Pomodoro and Porcavacca Ischia Steak House and ‘aParanza Sea Restaurant but make sure you book or you might miss a table! thankfully all the restaurants and gelato fronts stay open until quite late. Make sure you visit the castle its a surprisingly beautiful tranquil and lush oasis. I would also recommend spending some evening at the Porto d'Ischia. There are many lovely bars like Porto51 and restaurants like Taverna Antonio. Check out the swanky posh yachts that line the marinas. Stroll along pretty busier promenades along Via Roma and Corso Vittoria Colonna and browse the boutique shops and bars and just enjoy the atmosphere.…
Staff deserve 5-stars for the courtesy. The owner is a great person, our stay was great. If you will book surely you will have a nice stay....trust me!The view without a shadow of doubt is outbreathing...
The view from this hotel is breathtaking! You can see the sea and relax under the italian sun. But you can do that in another hotel nearby as I will do next time I'm coming to Ischia! First of all, the staff is so rude, distant, like you bother them. I avoided asking things because since the moment of the check in I was disappointed! I think a guy at the reception named Marco is the worst of all! I don't think he knows anything about tourism! He never looked at us, never said good morning but the most important is that although we stayed one night less, we never got our money back! On the contrary, he made us pay also the tax for one more which did not accept of course! Moreover, we got a room (I think it was deluxe room with view to the garden) which is not deluxe at all! Moreover you cannot use the small terrace in the morning there is a lot of sun and bees and other insects and in the night mosquitos and .... The neighbors who are just next to each other! Breakfast was ok. Nothing special for the price. Furniture are old and the swimming pool very small! I wouldn't go there again even if it was for free, especially because of the staff! Such a pity for the island!…
This hotel is slightly out of the way, but close to the Castle. It's about a €15 cab ride from the port. Once you get to it, you have to climb a few stairs to get to reception. Our room was comfy, albeit a bit dated. The décor reminded me of the set of the Golden Girls - old person Florida chic. But the bed was comfy, the shower worked and there was even a room safe (the safe key is with the room key). The internet (wifi) was also very reliable and fast. The bus into town comes every hour. No more regularly. You have to pre-purchase a ticket, but the hotel doesn't sell them. It is also worth a walk to the port that takes you to the Castle. The shops/restaurants/salumeria around that area looked interesting. Also, you can swim there for free. One last thing - the staff, without exception, were lovely. Friendly, all smiles and helpful. A great change from other places....…
