Nice hotel, very basic and confortable. If you like the adventure and the nature, and you are a flexible guy, that place is for you. Good quality/price rapport. Potentialy they can do much better. Finally I suggest it.

Our tour of the central region of Italy brought us to the top of Campo Imperatore just at the heavens opened. The temperature was 3C outside and rain/sleet. We headed in to the reception with no sign of anyone. exploring further we found the bar area with two intrepid walkers. In the restaurant was a group of 4 apparently having...

We come to campo Imperatore Refugio several times during the summer months for hiking, running and getting out of the sweltering heat of Rome. The deal cannot be beat and the food tastes treat after a long day of activity. The rooms are basic but clean and while there is not WIFI in the rooms, it is strong in the...

Location is excellent, however, this is not even a 3 star hotel. There is not much to do during the winter, for skiing only two lifts, total of four so-so not demanding (blue, red) trails, cca 4 km total run. After skiing, nowhere to go, nothing to do. Hotel is advertised with swimming pool, true, but water was not included....

Not a four star hotel but a good place to stay to relax and feel a part of world history as you walk the halls of Mussolini and imagine being there 70 years ago. Great area to go for a trek in pristine area.

This rifugio is a budget hotel; rooms are small but have all that is required with lovely mountain views. Although the exterior looks a bit shabby inside is clean and tidy. I paid €45 for dinner bed and breakfast, so when reading some of the more negative reviews this might put it into context. Dinner was usual Italian and quite...

Friendly run, it's the heaven place for trekkers visiting central Italy. Historical hotel where Benito Mussolini had been hold and ' rescued' by Nazis (I am tonight actually sleeping in his bed), featuring plenty of authenticm photographs, and beatiful frescoes of the 30's. FOOD can be enhanced

We spent 2 nights at this hotel/rifugio. We were told it was going to be "basic" and that is very true. From the outside it looks completely run down -- plaster falling off the outside walls. But it's actually better on the inside. The rooms are basic. Ours had 1 double bed and many wall cabinets. Each room has a...

Rarely have i been more underwhelmed and disappointed. So badly maintained, whole place is falling to bits, they fail to clean up even the most basic of messes and rely entirely on a dubious bit of history that Mussolini was kept in the hotel some 70 years ago. Go if you have to but dont stay and dont eat....

The place is wonderful (the whole area looks and feels like the Altai in Mongolia, with wild wolves and wild horses) but, the people in charge of the hotel are even more wonderful: There are so helpful, so nice, so committed that every year I cannot help but be amazed at them... The food is outstanding and the chef is...
