Most unusual hotel I've ever stopped at. So much detail and design. Has to be seen to be believed as no photos do it justice. Fantastic design and construction architect must be pure genius. Each room very individual, spoilt for choice as to which is my favourite as they each have so many features. Horse definitely has the most space. Staff were all very friendly and helpful too. Great breakfast delivered into rooms. Restaurant was exceptional and again full of so much detail...that's the food as well as the surroundings. Plenty to do nearby Grottes de Hotton not to be missed but wear trainers as lots of steps.

Unique, fabulous experience. Very romantic. We stayed in 3 different rooms but saw all the other rooms. They're all wonderful, you can't go wrong with any of them. Some of the rooms are smaller than others but they are all unique with amazing attention to detail - just pick the theme you want and you can't go wrong. Breakfast is delivered to your room and if you stay in the Trojan Horse they will deliver your breakfast in a basket on a pulley. We definitely recommend this room for at least one night. The location is a little far from the town of Durbuy and not near much else but definitely worth it for the unique experience.

We spend two nights in this fairy hotel. Starting from the name it is all about a fantastic fairy world. All is "exta-ordinary". This bed and breakfast place stems out of the fantasy of its creator / architer/ owner as he created different rooms, all with one specific theme and full of details related to the them chosen. We stayed in two different rooms : one night in L'Ile de Macquerie: this is a two storey room in the main building with a (small) sitting area on the upper floor and a boat (yes a boat that really is floating -i.e. moving, it's not stable- in the water and on the floor there is even sand and small rocks) on the lower floor. The bed is in the boat and you have a toilet and a bathroom (basin and shower) on the sides of the boat but not on the boat, on the building. Then we stayed the second night in the Horse of Troy which is separated from the main building. There you have all in wood a three storeys room with bed and bathroom facilities on the ground floor, children's bed and sitting area on the first floor and the third floor hosts the horse head and gives a spectacular view. as it is all in wood and it is not a proper building it gets cold and humid but there is heating. You are served breakfast in the morning in the rooms. Please be aware You have to leave your room at 11 AM and then afterwards you have a chance to see the other rooms. all in all an extraordinary experience but don't expect a 5 stars accommodation.

This is an excellent retreat and a perfect quirky hotel if you wish to experience something straight out of a fairy tale. The rooms are all thematic and you can see there is a lot of effort put into them. Even the common areas, although very small and limited, have the right feel. The moon room is excellent, even the lunar lander, which serves as a bathroom, has hydraulic doors. You really get a different and great feeling staying there. The breakfast is delivered to your room with a variety of dishes. Nothing extravagant but good quality plus the added. There is ample parking but keep in mind not much is in the vicinity. So you basically will have to drive to go see anything special. Apart from the hotel itself of course.

We have rented the horse and it was completely worth it. Amazing room full with surprises! Breakfast was amazing! Best idea to stay there for a night. Very romantic and adventurous at the same time. A surreal experience. Highly recommended if you want something out of ordinary.
