In february i returned to Granada and i was happy to spend 2 nights (again) in this beautyful hostel. The Hostal El Momento is located in a old colonial house with a beautyful open courtyard. Unfortunately the private rooms was booked out, so i spend 2 nights in the Dorm. The Dorm is very cozy with big beds, every bed...

As the title states I had the misfortune of staying one night at the bearded monkey, so maybe this place isn't five star, but it sure felt like it compared to that place. The owner was friendly and helpful with any questions I had, the rooms and showers were pretty clean and the beds were very comfy. If you get...

Right as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile. The staff answered all my questions and helped me get to Laguna de apoyo. Also gave me a quick tour of the hostel. It's not that big but it can be spread out. It is beautiful, they have an open courtyard with a garden in it, which...

I stayed for four nights in the dorm in march 2015. I would highly recommend this place. The dorm is 8 dollars a night, you can get one for 5 elsewhere, but for the extra 3 dollars you will have a very comfortable stay. The dorm is huge with a lot of airflow, and an fan for each bed. The...

Thanks for the review and some important information to pass on to other travelers. It is correct that there are other hostels in town for $5, I think it is subjective and depends on the guest and what they may class as comfort. I do not want to talk about other establishments and only that we do receive comments from...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hostal El Momento for two nights (February 7 & 8) as our first stop of our vacation in Nicaragua. They arranged for us to be picked up at the airport the night we arrived, which was super helpful. We had room #4 - a private room with a shared bathroom for only $23/night! The...

Thanks for the super review and I will pass on the information to the staff they will very much appreciate your comments. It always good to hear that guests think we are clean and that you also got to meet fellow travelers, this is not always the case as it can always depend on the type of guests staying with...

This was my first and favourite hostel of my trip trough Nicaragua. They picked me up from the airport in the middle of the night, even let me have a beer when we got back to the hostel even though the bar was closed. I stayed in the dorm room, which has 11 beds in there, but the room is...

Glad to hear that this was your favourite place in the country, always nice to hear this. Yes we can organise nearly any transfers to or from the airport, it is only Spirit we do not work with as they can be unreliable and come in very late at night/morning. Yes we have asked a few guests about a pool...

El momento doesn't really feel like a hostel, it's got a mixed crowd, quiet and really well decorated. We stayed here for a few nights and the staff were very accommodating. Even letting us leave our cases there whilst we spent a couple days in apoyo.

I will pass on your comments about the staff, as an owner I want them to enjoy their work and to be able to give the guests a more enjoyable experience and so this informing them will just encourage them to keep this up. It is correct we do allow guests to leave the luggage if they are away for...

We have nothing to complain about here. This place was awesome - the layout of the hostel was such that it was very cool (temperature wise) inside which was great considering granda is super hot. Or room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The food offered at the hostel was delicious and reasonably priced. We got lots of help...

Loved this place. Great for a variety of travelers as they have dorms and private rooms. Right around the corner from everything in Granada. The staff will help you with anything and everything and if you want to just relax in the hostel the food is great and common areas/garden are beautiful.
