One of the most amazing places on earth if you are looking for relaxation. My wife and I have stayed here many times and I would go back at the drop of a hat. The food is fantastic and the staff is superb. I give the Lodge my highest recommendation

The Fort Lewis Lodge is situated in a beautiful, secluded valley. Just getting there is a treat, winding through scenic country roads. Once at the lodge, everything is perfect for relaxation. It is difficult to describe what the owners have achieved in terms of an immersive experience with the natural surroundings. You feel welcomed and cannot help marveling at the...

The food here was wonderful and plentiful. We didn't have anything we didn't like. We were staying in Hot Springs at the Homestead but drove 45 minutes to eat here because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed, and even though we were not staying at the lodge we were treated like their own guests. It is not cheap...

Best place this side of heaven to vacation with or without your kids. Excellent lodging and the food is the best you will find anywhere. We have been coming here since 1999 and we can't wait to get back there. John and Caryl are the best innkeepers we have met. Fantastic memories with our families. Looking forward to going back...

My wife and I have been spending our anniversary at FLL for the last five years, and have gradually extended from two nights to three, as we just love the place. We have stayed in Tall Timbers cabin twice, one of the Settlers cabins once, and for the last two years have stayed in the John Lewis cabin, our favorite!...

My wife and I just returned home from a few days and nights at the spectacular Fort Lewis Lodge in Millboro, VA. After having dinner there once (fabulous) a few years ago, this was our first stay-over. It will be the first of many. The 3,200 acre property, nestled alongside the Cowpasture River, is stunningly beautiful in size and scope....

The First Wednesday Book Group of Waynesboro, VA. spent two nights at the lodge. We plan on making this an annual event. The inn keepers, John and Carlyn Cowden, were wonderful. The meals were prepared with a lot of thought and the variation and amount.of food exceeded our expectations.. Everything was delicious. The property is beautiful with views of mountains...
