We had such a nice trip to Middleburg. The staff at Red Fox Inn couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. They went out of their way to take care of us. The building was beautiful and right near everything. Our room was everything we needed and wanted. The dinner at the Tavern as well as the included breakfast were...

Recently we spent the night at your quaint, historic, beautiful inn. The food was excellent, the room done in great taste, and the staff was the best. I would welcome the opportunity to stay there anytime!

This building dates from 1728, so it's about as historic as you can get. The rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques and named for famous people. Morning coffee at your door, a delicious and hearty breakfast, specialty toiletries and the use of a wonderful microfiber robe (they sell packaged ones for guests who really like them), cookies, and bottled water...

Breakfast is always served hot and made-to-order each morning of your stay, and that's something that will never change! We are also happy to hear you enjoyed your microfiber robe— they are made exclusively...

After selecting the Red Fox Inn for an overnight stay with my daughters, I quickly realized that I had made a mistake. The first sign of this misjudgement in booking was quite obvious when we overheard the check-in associates manner of speaking with those ahead of us. Abrupt & Discouteous was the culture and the tone at "check-in". When we...

My wife and I and another couple dined at this wonderful Inn and tavern restaurant recently while celebrating his 65th birthday. We were greeted and seated promptly as we had a rezzy which is important as the tavern filled up quickly. Our waitress Katrina greeted us with a smile and provided excellent and knowledgeable service, ask for her if you...

Hello LancasterTraveler, we are so happy you joined us for a special occasion! We are delighted to hear of your selections and will pass on your praise to our chef. Please join us in the tavern again (or perhaps one evening in our Night Fox pub - where we serve a pub menu as well as our regular dinner menu)....

We walked in while another couple was checking in. No one acknowledged us and said we will be with you shortly but that isn't a huge deal. While we were waiting we heard them explain to the other couple that they could have coffee/tea downstairs in the morning or have it brought to the room. They asked if they had...

Rooms were clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Inn is old and charming. Lacks in services such as room service, valet, luggage assistance. Parking is inconvenient. But, they do provide a nice breakfast for inn guests, gratis, in the dining room. Also, upon request, you can have coffee/tea delivered to your room. If you can live with these...

We have been to Red Fox many times. It's our special place. One of the best parts is the drive there on RT 626 from the Plains. Beautiful! Our waiter last night was Travis. He had excellent suggestions on appetizers, meal and wine pairings. The Red Fox never disappoints. Go!

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Fox Inn; the staff was helpful, personable and fulfilled all requests quickly and without question. The Inn is a historical site and maintains a lot of character of the period. We do think, however, that the bathroom could be remodeled to provide more amenities. The room was a little small but the breakfast was excellent. It was everything we expectedly. It was a very old inn. If you want a historical experience with great meals stay here. They added a bathroom with a shower/ tub combination.
