Everything about our stay was wonderful, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic! Such a lovely place to go for a special treat. Percy, the server in the dining room couldn't have been nicer, Rachel, our "hostess" was super nice and fun to chat with. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive. We stayed in the carriage house-what a...

Relaxing atmosphere, charming accommodations, friendly hosts and great food! We loved staying in one of the cabins. The bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in. The vast grounds made for relaxing walks and unexpected discoveries; whether, it be chickens, alpaca, another guest cabin or a simple seating area with plaques stating historic facts about the property. My...

I went to Prospect Hill based on a magazine article from years before. The place no longer lived up to its reputation. I awoke to a BIRD in my room and the innkeepers acted like it was no big deal. Stay away from this place!

Our visit was absolutely perfect in every way! From our evening dinner (order the scallops!) to sleeping in the four poster bed; from kicking the leaves on our early morning fall walk to the exquisite breakfast; from sitting on the front porch enjoying the pastoral views to hearing the creak of worn, wood floors; from enjoying a good book in...

Stayed in Uncle Guy’s House for 2 nights. Amazing room with a lot of character and very comfortable. We also had dinner one of the nights and the meal was superb! I would highly recommend one of their Friday or Saturday four course meals Will be going back again soon for both the stay and the meal!

We have stayed at Prospect Hill Plantation twice and plan to return again. The atmosphere is elegant but casual and lived in. We felt very at home and were treated like special guests by everyone. The food was delicious and we so enjoyed our walks visiting the animals, Jack jack the donkey and the alpaca baby was adorable, born right...

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a long, holiday weekend at Prospect Hill. We stayed in Miss Marcie's room, that was beautifully decorated, exceptionally comfortable, and very quiet, despite being directly above the dining room. The house, grounds and amenities are in of themselves a destination in the greater Charlottesville area. The owners and those involved in maintaining this...

We just spent two nights in the Carriage House at Prospect Hill Plantation Inn, and I cannot say enough good things about the place, the people, and the experience. Nicely located near Ashlawn (Pres. Monroe) and Montpelier (Pres. Madison) we were able to enjoy touring these historical homes, and then came back for a refreshing swim at the pool, a...

Very old Inn (1732) that was a slave plantation. The hosts were gracious and we were given a card with the Plantation's history which was interesting. The owners have had the Inn for three years and are working on bringing the property back to its original beauty. Our cottage (the old horse barn) had been redecorated. The pool area needed...

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Prospect Hill, a place we have been visiting for 15 years. Prospect Hill is a wonderful inn and the hosts made us feel as welcome as family. We have stayed in the Sanco Pansy cottage twice. This trip, we stayed in the Overseer's Cottage and we loved it. We have arranged...
