Tru hotels are very basic, no frills hotels. They do, however, all live up to my expectations for Hilton Hotels. And this one was no exception. The room was clean and fresh smelling. The beds were comfortable, with convenient lighting and outlets to charge electronics.. the bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo, body wash, etc. The decor was stark to say the least. The room was large, but contained only 2 beds and a very small desk. No real place to unpack clothes, which was not a big deal since we were only there one night, but I would not appreciate it if we were staying any longer. The location was very convenient, right off the thruway, and the price was right. The Cracker Barrel next door was handy for dinner and breakfast. We would stay here again.
The room was small but comfortable and quiet with a very plush pillow top bed. The bathroom was well designed. No coffee or microwave in room but available 24 hours in lobby. Mini refrigerator in room to keep your drinks cold.
Location was very good, and was within feet of the Cracker Barrel which was convenient.room was very clean but I had to request a blanket.,. None was on the bed. Pillows were flat. Breakfast was ok, not great. Rooms are small but adequate for 2 people.
Had a great stay. Rooms where very clean. Simple and well stocked. Breakfast was great. Kids loved the pancake machine. Will will definitely stay there again. Self check in and check out is awesome and easy.
Bring your earplugs. very noisy roads/streets even on quiet side of property. Otherwise, a so-so breakfast but clean property with cordial and competent employees. Abuts a popular chain restaurant and a 2 minute walk to a chain donut store.
This was our first time at a Tru hotel. We booked the reservation 15 minutes before we showed up. We didn’t know what to expect, but we found it to be perfect for an overnight stay…would stay 2-3 nights but too small for anything longer than that. That’s not a bad thing as it serves its purpose well. It’s set up different than a typical hotel. For example, you don’t have drawers for storage. Instead there are shelves. No closed closet…open hanger rack. Again, these were not issues for us. Pros…. Price Extremely clean Awesome beds and good pillows. I cannot emphasize this enough. The mattresses are on raised platforms and the mattress is definitely high quality. Loved the bedding and it was hands down one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. The bathroom! Toiletries that dispense with no mess/no gross hand soap bars. The scent is lemon/sugar, which we liked. Plenty of thick, luxurious towels. Large shower stall and I appreciated a hotel finally getting it right with the handrail bars for those of us who need them. Plenty of hot water and the absolute best water pressure in a hotel. We couldn't believe it. Make sure to adjust it several ways by turning the tab on the top. It has a setting for some serious massage power. I love this shower head so much that I’m hoping someone can tell me the brand/model number of thid specific one. It’s not the same one as other Hiltons I’ve been to. No carpeting. Floors are laminated vinyl planks which is awesome if you have allergies. Cons… We couldn’t hear anything from the rooms next to us, but we heard every single footstep above us and it wasn’t a situation where kids were horsing around or anything…it was just normal walking. I slept with earplugs and that worked fine but if could be annoying. You could just ask for a top floor. We would definitely stay again. …
I called the hotel to inquire about the possibility of cancelling my reservation and Rita the manager informed me that I could not cancel. Take note..that the hotel had already charged my card $500 when making the reservation. After I got off the phone with her, I got a notification from my bank today that my card was charged another $400.00. So, because I called and inquired about cancelling my reservation due to the weather, she took it upon herself to go ahead and charge my card for our entire stay…and we haven’t even arrived there yet! So, I called the hotel again, spoke to her and asked if she charged my card after we spoke on the phone earlier and she said “yes…she did, and did it because she could!” To be honest, I do not want to stay at a hotel that has employees like this. Shady and completely underhanded.…
Did not allow for late check out more than 1-hour! I could’ve gotten more than a late checkout at any of the leading hotel brands especially as a Diamond-level member. The management and staff were not friendly and very inflexible to my late checkout request.
Staff is amazing, rooms are nice, clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast is good, nice choice. The only down side was we could hear very well the people in the room next to ours, but that was not much of an issue as we checked in late, and got up pretty early anyways.
Unbelievably rude/ condescending front staff… dirty rooms….breakfast only 6-9 and food was disgusting… treated our baseball team ages 15-16 as trouble makers and they fid absolutely nothing wrong.. parents and players were constantly watched like hawks for no reason
