I recently stayed here for a business trip, the hotel is clean, and great breakfast. Plus the staff was very friendly and great to deal with. The biggest plus for this hotel if your into fitness like me this hotel is for you. This hotel comes with a complementary guest pass to valley fitness literally two minutes down the road for free.I will definitely be back the next time I am in town for business, Thank you
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times over the weekends in January 2023 and will continue to do so through the winter months. The main reason why I am staying here besides skiing with my family is the staff. Julia, Jess and the entire staff truly make my stay unbelievably pleasant. They are warm, attentive and I consider them friends. The hotel room is always clean and is exactly what we need.
I don't want to give it a one star rating because it is a great location to JMU as well as very clean but it's a strange place! The lobby is very nice and they have fire pits outside. We checked into our so called suite but it's one room, there is no separation at all, they even put us in a handicap room which I did not request and the shower/tub was so strange and extremely low. The getting ready area is literally two steps away from the king bed so you can't really get ready there while someone is sleeping in the king bed, not sure who designed that but it's horrible, there is not one bit of privacy in this so called suite. After we had checked in we went to dinner and got back around 10 and realized the king bed only had this flimsy coverlet on it and the pull out couch which we needed only had a mattress pad, no pillows, sheets, nothing. So I called the desk and she said oh come down here to get those items... WHAT??? First off those items should have been in our room to begin with and secondly, you want the customer to come and get them and do your job? I was really annoyed and she knew it but fake smiled at me. My son ran on the treadmill, he said the gym was fine. The laundry does not let you choose cold water, it forces warm and the washer I used leaked all over the floor. Didn't even try the breakfast, went to dunks across the street instead which I highly recommend. I won't be staying here again, we always stay at Hotel Madison or the Hampton INN University and they actually have suites that have a divider and you can get ready in the bathroom without disturbing your party that is sleeping. We won't be returning and I wish I could get my points credited back to my account.…
As a titanium member, I’ve stayed at quite a few Mariott properties. I can say without a doubt that my experience here rivals that of my stays at the Ritz Carlton, not in terms of amenities but in customer service. The first impression is everything, the front desk clerk that checked us was polite, helpful, and overall warm. You can tell when someone genuinely care about their job, and our clerk exemplified excellent customer service. The rooms were clean and spacious and very clean. I would stay here over and over again!
Staff was great! Everything clean and bright. Breakfast options were impressive. Hot tub was great temp and jets functioned as expected. We travel a lot; not impressed easily. 5 stars to staff and management. Seasonal decorations very inviting.
I needed a place to rest before I continued my drive back home to Florida. I decided to stay at the Residence Inn as I desperately needed to recuperate and grieve after the death and funeral of my 35 y.o. son. The room was very clean, well laid out and the king size bed was just what I needed to pull the sheets up over my head to spend the day sleeping and binge watching tv. I must have mumbled something about my situation as I asked for a nearby place to eat when I checked in. Later in the day, I was pleasantly interrupted by the front desk staff who gave me a sympathy card and a bag filled with snacks and water. I almost cried when I saw what they gave me. This very kind and thoughtful gesture made me feel like a real guest, not a stranger staying at the hotel. My sincere thanks to the thoughtful front desk staff. .…
We arrived after a long day of driving and we were grateful to find a room available at the Residence Inn in Harrisonburg. Calvin Edwards was on the front desk and welcomed us. He was very helpful and got us checked in quickly. I would highly recommend this hotel based on my personal interactions.
This hotel is a great value for families. The indoor pool area is a huge plus for our kids. The breakfast was good. The staff are friendly and hospitable. We will return on our next trip to SNP (Shenandoah Natl Park).
Good location, 30 mins drive to Shenandoah National park. The breakfast is among one of the best for all the residence inns that I’ve stayed in. With different varieties of food supplied, I like the omelette and the quiche best. The is also a pet friendly hotel, which is also a plus.
I have been traveling to the Residence Inn in Harrisonburg for over a year now for work and the hotel staff has been very accommodating to anything I need. Amanda always greets you with a kind hello and smile anytime you cross paths within the hotel. The breakfast crew Teresa and Candice have been doing a great job since Chef Bob has parted ways. I do not have any complaints but would not complain if the breakfast area was suddenly equipped with a waffle or pancake maker👀. Great hotel to stay in all around!
