We just used this resort as a home base for seeing presidential homes and civil war sites. For what we needed, it was not too far to drive (1 hour or less to most places). Gordonsville looks lovely, although we didn't get a chance to...More

We had a nice, peaceful stay at Shenandoah Crossing. The property is big and spread out with a variety of smaller scale activities, such as basketball, tennis, tether ball, hiking trails, horseback riding, and catch-and-release fishing. There are several accommodation options: the lodge, cabins, yurts,...More

Insufficient place for kitchen utensils, small cabin, no closets, poor insulation, only one bath. Beds were very comfortable. Parking at our unit was poor at best. Parking in general seemed tight. Nice area with towns nearby and winery.

Good morning, In the cabins (I have stayed in two different ones) they had real wood burning fire places. The Yurts and rooms have electrical fireplaces. They do sell wood at the local store also if you need extra.
