It's tough to get me to a 5 star review. I'll be staying here in additional week now because of how good the hotel is. There's plenty of parking a beautiful view of the mountains and the golf course. I'm gonna write another review on the Hola hands restaurant. The food was amazing the front desk is well trained. They bought everything I need to make my stay comfortable. The bed was amazing the television is amazing the room is clean. The bathroom stands out from other double trees. I'm very very happy with this property.
I absolutely loved this hotel. It is on a really scenic golf course. The staff were really friendly & there is so much truck parking. The girl at the front desk actually let me choose which floor I wanted a room on. The fitness center is top notch w/ e/thing you need & there is a nice pool adjacent. Super comfortable bed. Fridge in room. (You have to request a micro & they bring it to your room) - absolute only d/side was no free b/fast (but there is a restaurant attached) I would def recommend this hotel . p.s. Super early morning up through golf course n/hood was so peaceful & well worth it. Be blessed !!!
This is an awesome hotel w/ an amazing Fitness Center/ pool (& large, lighted hottub ). The decor is beautiful w/ remodel happening currently. Parking lot is massive w: room for many trucks & the staff seem really nice & friendly (stayed several separate times) . The rooms are quite elegant but there is no micro in room (there is a fridge) You have to use 1 micro in lobby &…..no free b/fast. Recommend but slightly questionable (depends on your individual needs) Be blessed!
I'm surprised at all of the positive reviews. We were there for a wedding. The lobby is nice and modern. However, our room was dated. Yellow walls and brown ugly wallpaper with Victorian style furniture. Looked like something from the early 90's. We were told by a waitress in the restaurant that it was closing for dinner and will only be open for breakfast. We ate breakfast. I had an omlette that came from probably powdered eggs. Expensive and not good. My son had the pancakes. Small in size. The beds were great.
New hotel, spacious room. Had a room overlooking the golf course and the woods beyond, nice! Twenty minute drive from northern entrance to Shenandoah Valley National Park. I don't believe that there are nearby restaurants, but as drove through dark from SVNP am not sure. There is an attached restaurant and I enjoyed a good breakfast there with a polite and friendly waiter (brought dinner with me). Next day I drove a gorgeous country drive to Harpers Ferry National Park- maybe 40 minutes. It's also nearby to the lovely VA state Arboretum. Great value, thought that may change as hotel is new. One small bone to pick - the hotel supplies large bottles of toiletries attached to wall and the moisturizer one was empty. If you plan to use any of the toiletries I'd recommend looking at the side where there's a clear window to see if there's any in it when you enter the room.…
I have never been treated as poorly as I was by the staff at this hotel. When I first arrived the manager was on a call at the front desk. She had an angry look on her face and hands on her hips. What a poor first impression. The staff felt the need to tell us how busy they were and how we were part of their "to do" list. What a great welcome! Then the room had a previously customers dirty socks left on the floor. Not what I expected from a Hilton hotel.
Beautiful view of area. Fantastic welcome from Maddy. Staff in the evening were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. DoubleTree has done away with breakfast from Honors Members but give a 'food credit'. Part of the hotel is a Houlihan's, and the credit is good there. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was nice.
I stayed at the Royal Sonesta for an incentive program. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus. Everything is very close and Ubers are everywhere. The pool area was great and the staff was amazing. Shout out to Nathan at the front desk who was super helpful checking us in. Joy in the groups department made the planning process smooth sailing. Also, we truly appreciated everything Michael did for us in regards to our room block. Levi and Jerry with catering ware amazing. Everyone was great. Would definitely go again.
Beds are very comfortable, Roomes are clean and spacious Nice location of the hotel with views to the Golfcourse, we did not expect such a gem in this area Service staff needs a little customer training
We had a recent stay from August 6-8. Besides checking TripAdvisor, I always look at the hotel's website as well. The website states this is a new hotel. Other than location, we selected this hotel because the website stated that this was a new hotel. This is NOT a new hotel. The public areas are nice and updated, but the rooms were very dated and the carpet and sofa were both stained and filthy. Rooms were clean from a daily cleaning standpoint, but stained from past use. The room also had a strong odor that we could not get rid of. To be fair, we did not ask to change rooms, but I wish we would have. Also, I selected this hotel over another we had considered because this one was supposed to be pet-free. So, I was shocked and disappointed to see a very large dog lounging behind the front desk. To be clear, I am a dog-owner myself, but I do not like pets in the hotels I stay at. The pool was nice and there was a deck overlooking a golf course which was a nice feature. Beds were also clean and comfortable.…
