My wife and I wanted a last-minute weekend getaway. I found this place online on Saturday morning, called them up to find a room available, and we were there a few hours later basking in our delightful room. Our hostess, Pat, was a wonderfully kind and helpful woman, and she has a lovely old historic home. I loved our room,... More

We visited the Hockman Manor House for the third time last month, and once again had a wonderful experience! Our room (the Edinburg Gap room) was neat, comfortable, budget-friendly, and a great size for my husband, my daughter and I. This room does require a trip down the hall to the bathroom, but it really feels like home to me... More

My husband and I stay here everytime we are in the area. The proprietor Pat lost her husband to a lengthy illness in June, 2014. They had been opening their home to travelers for about a decade before and when proprietor Charlie finally succumbed to his illness we were saddened to hear of her loss. She was sad but gracious,... My husband and I booked a room at this B&B and were not impressed with the condition of room, bathroom and we did not feel welcome upon arrival. Once we arrived, we could not find anyone to check in with, so we walked down to the river near the property. Upon return from our walk, we were scolded by one... More

My husband and I visited not too long ago and have mixed thoughts about our stay. The owners were very nice and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room we stayed in was spacious but the bathroom not so much... It was real tight fit to get into the bathroom as the door, sink and shower stall were all... More

My friend and I just spent 2 romantic evenings in this suite. Pat and Charlie's hospitality was second to none. Breakfast was great and a good start to explore Edinburg and surrounding areas. The view's were stunning and the wine trails fun. I hope to visit the manor again.

My husband and I just spent three delightful days at the Hockman Manor House B&B while we tried (finally successfully!) to get in a hot air balloon ride. Pat very happily accommodated our dietary needs - my husband cannot eat fresh fruit and I don't eat red meat or pork. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. I told a friend... More

The Hockman Manor House was a real find for us. The view from the suite was "the million dollar view", overlooking the North Branch of the Shenandoah River. Breakfast was delicious, the home was very warm and inviting with great antiques and furnishings. I would recommend this to all!!!

The house is a historic landmark. It still maintains its original elegance. Pat and Charlie, the new innkeepers were excellent hosts. Pat claims she chose to be an innkeeper and it shows. she does an excellent job of it. Pat and Charlie are slowly restoring the historic house without disrupting the ambiance of times past. The place is spotless-- everything... More

A very romantic setting and decor. Food was exquisite and freshly cooked and prepared by our Innkeeper Pat. Sheets were pressed and high thread-count - like sleeping on the softest cotton. The view was outstanding overlooking the Shenandoah River. Lots to do in town which is biking distance for some. Easy parking. Very friendly community.

“Choose the Shenandoah Suite for the best view. The Edinburg Gap room is also family-friendly with plenty of room for bags.”

“The Suite is AWESOME but all rooms are flavored with the period of the home 1850s. We have stayed in several and our favorite is the Heritage (unless the suite is available,of course). Decor is professionally designed and the suites are roomy. The Suite is in blue toile and very roomy with kitchenette and large furnished porch with view of the Shenandoah Valley.”
