Loved the conversation with the o so charming owner Anne. She makes you feel completely at home and welcome with the afternoon wine and cheese sampling. The rooms are very charming and elegant. Be careful if you expect a cell/wifi signal since the area is a small town peninsula. Great getaway soaked in elegance.

This lovely historical house of Alexander Graham Bell's is so well preserved and Anne Bolin is the superb hostess to complement your stay. Anne never tires of supplying information on the locale, as well as the history behind the home and surrounding area. You'll want to come back and glean every bit of information she serves up! All this with...

We were looking for a quick one night stay in Colonial Beach. Anne had availability and was so welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with her and the other guests during the wine and cheese. Anne provided breakfast early to me since I had to leave for a business appointment during the regular breakfast time. Enjoyed breakfast a lot. Our room was...

The Bell House is a little dream of a bed and breakfast -- a high Victorian-styled home that was once the coastal summer getaway for Alexander Graham Bell. Located right on the edge of the Potomac just before it spills into the Chesapeake Bay, it is just far enough away from the hubbub and golf cart traffic jam of funky...

My fiancé and I stayed with Anne for a week. Anne is the owner and she is the most amazing person I have ever met!!! She is kind, warm, caring, generous, witty, and a fabulous cook. She loves cross word puzzles and she really makes you feel at home in her house. I could go on and on about how...

We stayed at The Bell House in October 2014. I have been meaning to write a review sooner than 4 months. Our stay was absolutely perfect! The owner, Ann made my husband and I feel completely at home. The view is really pretty and we loved watching the sunrise on the Potomac side right off the front porch. The bed...

We were lucky to find 2 rooms. It was the Blues festival weekend, we had such a wonderful time. Our hostess Ms Ann Bolin was amazing, she treated us like family and was very informative to the history of the Bell House. Ann made us a wonderful breakfast and I had the best Merlot wine I've ever had. We will...

We just spent 3 days at this magnificent home. The owner and hostess Ann Bolin is so warm and welcoming. She goes out of her way to make sure each day with her is an experience to cherish. She makes an incredibly creative gourmet breakfast for you each morning. I could hardly wait for each morning to see what wonderful...

My husband and I stayed this past weekend. (We are 37 & 40). We LOVED this place. It's gorgeous and Ann Bolin is an outstanding hostess. I will say that the outside photo is deceiving as there are houses surrounding it and there is a road right in between the bulkhead and the house but do not let that deter...

This year my wife & I took a trip on my brother's boat from Norfolk up the Potomac River to Washington DC and back (fantastic trip. Recommend it highly!). My wife & I stayed at the Bell house on the way up, and again on the return trip, and we are very glad we did. The house itself is beautiful,...
