Beautiful bed and breakfast in a much needed area! Im originally from this area and always looking for place to stay when my whole family comes. We were so happy when we found this place. We stayed upstairs and reserved 3 rms and had whole house to ourselves. Do reasonable rates, military rates and no tax if paying in cash....

Of the seven rooms available our family took up three, all upstairs. The beds were wonderful and comfortable, The Inn was very clean and always plenty of fresh breakfast food in the kitchen (which my teenage grandson loved, because he likes to eat in the middle of the night). The bathrooms were always ready with fresh towels and anything you...

I travel with a Beatles tribute band called The WannaBeatles. Last night was our second stay at the lovely Red Lantern Inn. It's charming, immaculate, friendly, and memorable. Jo Ann is a natural hostess, who made us feel like family. A large tub for a nice hot bath, a variety of well-kept bedrooms, and a handy kitchen with plenty of...

The reviews were great, but The Red Lantern Inn far exceeded my expectations. Lovely, immaculately clean, great location, well stocked! The restoration of this building was obviously done with love and with high quality efforts and materials. We enjoyed a drive through Douthat State Park, Ice cream at Buckhorne Country Store, and dinner at Vic's...gotta love those local eateries. Highly...

If you are looking for a wonderful inn near Douthat State Park, you need to stay at the Red Lantern Inn. It has everything you look for in an inn: comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms (don't let the sharing of bathrooms scare you - there are plenty to go around), country chic decor in the common areas and rooms, ultra clean,...

My son and I enjoy mountain biking together. Douthat State park and the local trails provided us with the adventure we desired. Joann provided us with the rest. Each morning she had fresh fruit, baked goods, coffee and other breakfast items. A perfect start to a hard days ride. Returning back to the inn sweaty and dirty we cleaned up...

I am a frequent guest of the Inn. The owner always goes out of her way to accommodate my requests and make sure that my stay is perfect. The rooms are lovely and well decorated with comfortable bedding and quality linens. The kitchen is always stocked with treats and fresh fruit. I wouldn't stay anywhere else for my business trips...

We recently had an overnight stay at the charming Red Lantern Inn. It is a rare gem in the beautiful hills of Virginia. Closely located right off 64 West, it offers a jaunt back in history in the entire home. Lovely rooms and a lovely kitchen, with small town atomoshpere, with closely located antiquing. The rate per night is also...

We wanted a relaxing weekend but we got so much more than that. The rooms and the Inn are clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are super comfy and the sheets were smooth as silk. The kitchen was well stocked. Sitting on the porch made it feel even more like home. The Inn is located right off Main Street and...

The Red Lantern Inn, an uncommon inn set just at the top of downtown Clifton Forge, easily within walking distance to everything. The Red Lantern Inn has had many incarnations, including a funeral home, but it is this last metamorphosis that strikes me as being just right. The inn is filled with antique and new furnishings that envelope you with...
